glances now empty stares, even though

i speak a friendly voice

i am now, no one's choice

where once my life was filled with

joyous laughter

an empty chapter

i'm standing deep

in a rising sea

the shoreline fades

end of days

the music's stopped, the party's over

i was someone once, but now I see

i walk alone through the desert of empty dreams

wayward words scream by on the breeze

i keep my thoughts now to myself

memories back on the shelf

where once my life was filled with

happy smiles

now endless miles

this empty zoo

theres no one here
