newspaper
(AdannaArt / lyttlejoe)
Remember the old riddle
what's black and white and *red all over
When you're caught in the rain what's used for cover
What lines the box your cat adores
and when you painted what covered the floors
What wrapped your order of fish and chips
or to make big shoes fit it went in the tips
It swatted mosquitoes and angry black flies
and at kids' birthday parties it made skinny palm trees
It made hats and belts when joined in a link
and left your hand filthy and covered in ink
It's the old riddle's answer - the newspaper I think
