2: You shouldn't play with a wolf

I opened my eyes slowly. Light shone onto my face, waking me from my peacful sleep. I sat up and looked around, noticing that I was in the shrine.

'Ah right...Nanami asked those two shrine spirits if we could stay here for a night...'

I hugged my knees to my chest and laid my head on them.

'Tomoe...seems so diffrent than from the past...espacially because he is a familiar...how can this be? And how can I be a moon god all of the sudden? When did this happen? Who made me a god?', I questioned myself.

My moment of peacful thinking time was suddenly interupted.

"Talk about a strange dream! My house was seized and my dad ran off so I was homeless but then some guy called Mikage gave me his home and than I met this girl named (Y/N) and I told her to come with me but when we got there it turned out to be a run down shrine not to mention I was the land god and (Y/N) was a wolf yokai AND the moonlight god and there were those two little shrine spirits and a guy named Tomoe who said it was all unaceptable! Hahaha! How strange!"

And Nanami said all of this in one breath?
Anyway, I looked away from Nanami and saw the two little shrine spirits kneeling in front of us.

"Good Morning lady godess of the land and lady godess of the moonlight!" They synchronized.

I saw a shocked look on Nanami's face. Well, she just got hit right in the face by the truth, right?

"Now If you please!"

"Get right to it!", the two spirit's continued to speak.

"...to what?", Nanami and I questioned, synchronizing this time.

"Your duties as a godess of course!"

Well, me and Nanami ended up cleaning the shrine. She did all the work inside the shrine and I outside. I was taking my time weeding the yard, it was a quiet warm day outside AND I haven't done such a thing in ages.
I also thought that doing this is pretty nice..well that was until I cut myself.

"So you do not even know how to weed grass correctly? What a useless girl..", I heard a familiar voice suddenly speak. Of course I knew right away that this was Tomoe. I looked up to him, seeing him hiding a smirk behind his fan. Why was he that rude to me anyway?

"If you came back just to insult me you can go now..", I say with a hidden voice of hurt. Why did that even hurt me so much? Normally I do not care what people think of me..

"You will never be able to fulfil the duties of a god, so why don't you and that human girl just leave the shrine already before you are forced to admit defeat?", Tomoe said. I don't know why, but I suddenly let out a growl before I stood up and looked straight at him.

"You don't get it, do you? I do not really have a place to stay, so does Nanami. Her house got seized and her father ran away. Me? I am always somewhere in the forest, so I don't have a home either since hundreds of years."

............Silence.............

"Not my problem", Tomoe said and kicked me so that I fell on my face. That was it. I was so sick of that stupid fox right now.

"You know, Tomoe, I am way more stronger anyway. I will NEVER admit defeat. So why don't YOU just give up already and become my familiar?", I said, now a smirk on my face.

"Like hell I will! Do you even know what you have to do to seal a contract with me!?"

Silence again. I honestly didn't know how to seal that contract thing.

"Sadly I don't know that. Why don't you explain it to me?"

"I guess you won't find it pleasent, but I will probably find your expression amusing.", Tomoe answered. I was kinda confused at his reply, why would he find my expression amusing!?

Tomoe noticed my questioning look and suddenly leaned forward, our lips now a few centimeters apart. My whole face started to burn and I was just starring into his purple eyes.

"N-not...what I think...right...?", I stuttered out, my voice changed into a whisper. Tomoe gave me an innocent smile.

"Exactly that. Just a simple peck on the lips". he answered, making me go completly red. I wasn't even able to say something, so silence started to hang between us....until Tomoe suddenly started laughing.

"Your expression was priceless! Just as I thought!", he laughed, so hard that he could barely breath.

'I know this laughter....'

'As if I could ever forget this...'

My ears and tail appeared and I was now overhelmed with anger. I may do not care what others think about me, but I HATE IT when somebody laughs like that over me!
I reached out my hand towards him and grabbed his hand, a devilish smirk on my face.

"You shouldn't laugh like that", I say and push him on the ground. He growled in surprise and also pushed me on the ground and we started to battle, trying to pin each other down for victory. We soon were covered in mud and after a (for me seeming) long battle, he managed to pin my hands aboth my head.

"Enough now!", he growled. I looked up at him and saw something that made my heart skip a beat...I was throwed off the real world and suddenly, a memory came back..

....

"Stop"

"No! I am not willing to stay in such a cage forever!"

"You will die"

"I am a wolf yokai now! I am stronger! Get out of my way or I'll have to fight against you!"

"Like you want"

*crashing sounds, a sudden yelp*

"Enough...(Y/N)...you lost...admit defeat and stay...!"

"Never!"

.

"It is you...", I suddenly said, starring into Tomoe's eyes. He made a confused "Huh" sound and looked into my (E/C [=eye colour]) eyes. I freed my hands, grabing his and leaning forward to him

..until I reached his lips and kissed him.

After we partened from the kiss, he had wide eyes and a mixed look of anger, surprise and shock on his face. He stood up and took some steps backwards.

"You....why....the hell....did you-"

"You shouldn't play with a wolf", I interupted him and gave him my great victory smile.
