17: Finally

Tomoe ran and ran.
He was breathing heavily and ignored everything that surounded him. He just wanted to be there.

"T-tomoe! Wait up!", screamed Nanami behind him. She was with Mizuki and tried to follow after Tomoe as best as they could. But he didn't even listen to them. He just wanted to be at the hospital as soon as he could.

After a few more minuites of running, he was there. He ran inside the building and asked for (Y/N). A young nurse told him where her room was and he instantly got there. He opened the door to the room and saw (Y/N) standing in front of a window with a bandage around one leg and arm. Tomoe gulped and got a bit closer to her.

"(Y-Y/N?)", he quietly whispered out, but loud enough for her to hear. She turned around and Tomoe saw that she wore an eyepatch over her eye with the god mark. On (Y/N)'s face formed a big smile.

"TOMOEEE!!!". And she instantly ran to him and hugged him tightly. Even if her legs and arms still hurted, as long as he was with her, she felt nothing but happiness.

"I was so, so worried...you can't believe how worried I was...I...I thought that I'd lose you forever...", Tomoe mumbled and leaned his forehead carefully against her shoulder. He even sobbed.

"Tomoe...", she hugged him closer and stroked his gentle white hair.
Tomoe than suddenly jolted away and took a closer look at his lover.

"Your god mark...", he mumbled and carefully placed his hand on top of her eye patch. The girl took his hand and placed it on her cheek, loving the warm feeling. She smiled sadly.

"Yes, it got damaged during the battle...I don't know if it'll ever heal or if I'm blind on that eye or if I lost my status as a godess now...the rest will surely heal...".

"I'll stay with you either way", said Tomoe with a kind and loving smile.

Later on, Nanami and Mizuki arrived in (Y/N)'s room too. She was now lying in her bed again with Tomoe next to her, hugging her close. Nanami squealed quietly, adoring the cute scene.

"Heya love birds!", Nanami chanted while walking closer to the bed, making Tomoe and (Y/N) look at her. (Y/N) smiled and sat up, hugging Nanami.

"I'm so glad that you are okay! I almost got a heart attack when I saw you with Tomoe!", said Nanami and hugged (Y/N) even tighter. She coughed slightly and Tomoe made Nanami let go of her, followed by her apologizing. Nanami than noticed (Y/N)'s damaged eye.

"Isn't that your god mark..? Does that mean that you lost your powers or something?", asked nanami with a worried tone. Then Mizuki spoke up:

"I think it'll heal"

"Let's hope that", was all the (h/c) hair coloured girl said.

"Well, I sure am happy that you two and we two are alive!". Nanami chuckled slightly and rubbed the back of her head.

"Why you two?", asked Tomoe, concerned.

"That's a long story! But damn, Tomoe, you wanted to use us as a sacrifice, did you know that?", asked Mizuki and grinned.

"Wha-"

"No, no, Mizuki. It wasn't really him, it was the past hi-"

"YOU WERE IN OUR PAST!?", yelled Tomoe and (Y/N) now, making the other two wince. Mizuki looked confused and didn't really understand why they had a problem with that.

"We wanted to save (Y/N), so we had no other chance but to travel into the past and stop Tomoe from taking the king's eye. Nanami met you two first and said that Tomoe was really frightening, but kind and caring towards (Y/N)", Mizuki chuckled slightly and Tomoe hit him with his fist.

"Shut up, stupid snake"

"But why are you kinda mad at us for being in your past, anyway?", asked Nanami, raising an eyebrow. (Y/N) and Tomoe blushed slightly, but had a poker face.

"Nevermind that"

Nanami and Mizuki stayed for a few hours with (Y/n), but decided to take their leave to let the 'love birds' have some time for each other. Right than Tomoe and (Y/N) were simply lying in the hospital bed, exchanging a few kisses every now and than, but not breaking the silence. That was until a nurse came in and told (Y/N) and Tomoe that (Y/N) is allowed to go home on the following day. They were both really happy about that.

"But in 30 minuites you have to take your leave too, young man. Please don't forget that.", said the nurse with a smile before she left. (Y/N) looked at Tomoe, kinda sad.

"I don't wanna stay here all alone, Tomoeeeeee~"

"I know, I know, but I can't do anything to change the rules of this hospital", answered Tomoe and kissed (Y/N) on the lips.

"Let's just enjoy the last 30 minuites and tomorrow we have the whole day for us~". (Y/N) noded and exchanged another kiss with her lover.

"What do you think?", asked the girl all of the sudden. Tomoe shrugged.

"Y'know, as long as Nanami and Mizuki haven't seen our whole love life in the past, I'm okay with that". Tomoe smiled kindly. But suddenly, his face darkened and he had a murderous grin on his face.

"But if they saw some certain scenes and tease us with them, I'll burn them alive". (Y/N)'s face got blank at Tomoe's sudden change of expression, but she calmed him down with a kiss on his cheek.

"Don't really do that, please", she begged with a cute puppy face. Tomoe blushed slightly and looked away.

"Yeah, yeah" Was all he said.

Soon, the 30 minuites were over and the kitsune had to leave. He promised (Y/N) to pick her up on the next day as soon as he was able too. They seperated after one last kiss.
Then, (Y/N) was all alone in the hospital room again, but she was more than happy.
