20: The Undercover Protector

Another day at school; Nothing can go wrong today!

That was what you thought. Before you and Nanami went to school on the following day, you checked your bag at least 4 times.

"Okay...I have my bento...my books...my drink....I think I'm ready!"

"So can we go?", Nanami asked and flashed you a smile. You egerly noded and quickly went to say goodbye to your boyfriend, than you left together with her.

"Today will finally be the perfect school day!", you said during the walk and flashed a smile to your friend. Nanami noded with a smile.

The two of you soon arrived at the school building and the first lessons rolled in. But instead of a normal lesson the teacher introduced the class to a transfer student. It was a girl with long, brown hair. She almost looked like Nanami and the boys were falling for her in an instant. You felt something weird about that new girl...

"So, what's your name?", asked the teacher. The girl smiled at the class and said:

"My name is Saori Kurosaki. I hope that I can get along with everyone during the time I am here"

"I hope so too, Kurosaki-san. So...there is a free seat next to Takebayashi-kun and (L/n)-san...", said the teacher and looked around the classroom. You looked to the free seat on my right side and than back to the girl. Saori decided to sit next to you. She greeted you with a smile and you introduced yourself properly, still having a weird feeling about that new girl. With a little hand shake you ended the conversation and the lessons began. Unfortunately, you weren't really able to do anything during the lessons because you had to keep thinking about Saori. Suddenly, your thoughts got interupted;

"Oi, (l/n)-san, shouldn't you be paying attention? This could be Important for an upcoming test.", whispered the new girl. You looked at her and noded as a reply, than wrote some non sense on your paper.

The first two lessons seemed to never end, but did eventually. The bell rang and the break started. You ate your bento and while talking a bit with Nanami, secretly dreaming about how delicious Tomoe's bentos are.

"Does it taste good?", suddenly asked Saori. You jumped a bit and looked at her, surprised by her sudden question. You noded and smiled to yourself.

"My boyfriend made it for me. It's really delicious if I'm being honest"

"That's good.", she blankly answered and returned her attention to a book she was reading. You continued your little talk with Nanami until you had to go to the bathroom.

Your POV

I went to the bathroom and fixed my looking a bit while looking into the mirror. Again, I was wearing the eyepatch that I always had to wear. With a sigh I undid it and looked at myself for a few seconds until the door opened. I saw Saori coming in again and greeted her with a shy sounding "hello". She looked at my eyepatch.

"I thought you have a problem with your eye or something. Shouldn't you continue to wear this?". I looked puzzled at her and than tied the eyepatch around my eye again.

"I-I can do whatever I want. And I don't really have to wear it anyway..". Before she could reply to that we got interupted by the bell again and got back to class. The next lessons were as boring as the last, but I noticed the new girl looking at me a bit too often. She started to creep me out. But I didn't pay much attention to it at first.

Later on we got sports. Those were the only fun lessons of that day because we only played games. Me and Nanami were always in a team and had a lot of fun together, but than again I had the feeling that Saori was watching me the entire time. When the lessons were over and we went to te changing rooms it was the same, so I waited until everyone (including Nanami) left before I got changed. For some reason, Saori did the same so we were alone in the room.
