14: Idk what to call this chapter

"I...sometimes feel like I'm dying inside and I collapse a lot...and Tomoe always gets so worried...it's sweet but I think that I really stress him out...there are a lot of nights where he can't sleep because of me..."

"Tomoe really cares a lot about you...", Nanami mumbled under her breath while she and (Y/N) sat on the futon of (Y/N) and Tomoe.

"He does...ever since I first met him...even if he was kinda rough at first", the wolf yokai chuckled slightly.

"What do you mean with 'rough'?"

"Well, we first met in a battle and his 'friend' captured me and kept me in a cage. Tomoe often came down to me and forced me to kiss him from time to time...but after some time passed by he got more and more sweet with me and we became a couple", (Y/N) told Nanami with a smile on her lips. Remembering the good ol' times really warmed her heart, but also kinda hurted her.

"I see...", Nanami muttered and wanted to say something, but she got interupted by a knock on the door. (Y/N) looked at Nanami and asked her to open the door, wich she did. And she was instantly engulfed in a hug as soon as she opened the door.

"Nanami-sama!", chimed a happy, childish voice. Nanami was really shocked at first, but as she realised who it was, she was overcame by relief.

"Mizuki! Where the heck were you!?". Nanami hugged him back and smiled slightly. Mizuki looked up at her with a big smile.

"I did some research and completly lost you! I was so worried and all...", Mizuki explained and slowly stopped hugging his mistress. Than (Y/N) joined the two of them.

"Nanami? Who was at th-", she stopped in mid-sentence and looked surprised at the white haired snake yokai.

"Is that your friend?", she asked and pointed at Mizuki. Nanami noded.

"Yeah...I got seperated from him when we arrived here. His name is Mizuki", Nanami explained.

"Hm...she doesn't really look good...", Noted Mizuki while he took a closer look at (Y/N). She backed a bit away and grinted her teeth.

"Hey! Watch your mouth!", (Y/N) slightly yelled at him and winced suddenly, holding her chest. Nanami instantly rushed to her side and helped her stand.

"You should really get some rest", mumbled Nanami and led (Y/N) back to her room. Mizuki followed them silently, closing the front door behind them. Nanami helped (Y/N) to lie down on her futon and than looked worried at her.

"Don't worry, me and my friend watch out for everything, okay? Just get some rest". (Y/N) noded at Nanami and laid down, slowly closing her eyes...

[Meanwhile...]

The yokai laid on the ground, lost in his thoughts. He couldn't stop thinking about (Y/N). His love, his life...

'Is she really going to die? Is there no other way? I can't believe this...I don't want to believe this...'. Tomoe couldn't stop thinking about her. Obviously, she was captured by a crazy sea king who is going to cut her open in less than 2 days. And if Nanami gets the eye from the King in the past, (Y/N) doesn't exist in the future.

"So this is a hopeless situation", Tomoe mumbled under his breath and closed his eyes, trying to think of another plan to save (Y/N) and himself.

But was there a way? Was there even a point of continuing? Was there even a point to still believe that she was going to make it through somehow?

"Seems like you're pretty stressed, huh?". The voice of the king suddenly echoed through the jail. Tomoe growled slightly at the king, turning away from him. The King simply chuckled.
