34: Enough

As Alayla in her human form hunted down a buck. She let her eyes glow in night. She watched as it stood there looking around. Alayla crawls on her fours. Like a wolf. She let her fangs out as she approach slowly to the Buck. As soon she was close enough. Alayla jump on the buck like a lion would with its prey. She then twisted his neck killing it. The buck falls to the ground and Alayla takes a big bite off of the buck.

Not as tasty as human flesh but it would do. As she ate into the buck she did not notice her surroundings well enough to know she was being watch by Connor.

He approach slowly behind her and immediately inject her neck. Alayla felt nothing but paralyzed from the neck down and collapsed to the ground.

"What--" Alayla said angrily.

"Don't even bother. You're paralyzed from the neck down." Connor said as he kneels down and checks her fangs. He then injects a needle in her fangs taking her wolf poison from her fangs. Alayla then began to shift to unparalyze her body.

He soon then got up and disappeared. As alayla growled looking around for the hunter but he was gone.

As Adam enter his home. He find a couple of hybrids there.

"What in the hell are you doing here?" Adam snap at them. Tyler then appears with a miserable face.

"They're here for your protection and mine." Tyler responded at him.

"Exactly." Klaus said appearing in the back and Adam sighed.

"I was half way to Chicago when I heard that Alayla was attacked." Klaus said to him. "When I was going to leave Mystic Falls for good but duty calls."

"Yeah Alayla not me. Key word is Alayla. Give her the protection." Adam snap at him.

"Yes but if they're after her is most likely there after you two." Klaus stated.

"It's nice to know you care." Adam sarcastically said.

"I don't but I should've killed you for the little stunt that you and your friends pulled." Klaus said approaching Adam. "..stopping my heart, leaving me in a coffin to rot."

"Yeah.. Well you use my body as a meat suit and kissed Alayla." Adam snap back at him "so we're even."

"Not even close." Klaus responded. "But you hybrids are a dying breed, I can't make more of you and I won't have anyone taking the liberty of the ones I have left. So consider them your new body guards."

Klaus then leaves the room and Adam sighs in frustration.

As Adam sat on the couch throwing a ball against the wall. He was bored since Klaus called it.

Adam then heard footsteps from behind as he turns around he smirks seeing a good friend.

"So this is your lovely home?" Hayley said and Adam smirk at her.

"Hayley!" Adam said getting up approaching Hayley.

"Mr.handsome!" Hayley said and Adam embracing her and she embraces him back. Hayley then pushes him back playfully.

"You ass, I thought Klaus killed you." Hayley said to him.

"Well didn't you see Tyler around?" Adam pointed out

"You're a liar as well." Hayley stated to "you said that you lived in a trailer in Tennessee." Hayley looks around seeing Adam's home.

"When you're a hundred twenty four years old you learn to save money. And tend to spend less." Adam informed her and Hayley mouth fall to agape.
