Chapter 7: I'll fight for what I believe is mine

 

 

Xander's P.O.V

 

 

          "Ganoon po ba Tito?" disappointed na sabi ko. "Pakisabi na lang po kapag nakauwi na sya na tawagan po ako."

          [I will. I'm sure she has reasonable reason for that.]

 

 

          "I know." nakangiting sabi ko saka nagpaalam sa matanda at in-end yung call.

          "Nasaan kaya sya?" tanong ko sa sarili ko.

          Last night, I tried to call her phone pero out of reach iyon. At ngayon, malalaman ko sa Papa nya na hindi daw sya umuwi kagabi?

          'Where are you Rina?' sa isip ko.

          "I tried to call her phone number again pero wala pa ding sumasagot. Napabuntong-hininga na lang ako saka ulit tumawag.

          'Last...'

 

 

          Then luckily, after a few rings, she picked up.

            [H-Hello?]

 

 

          "How are you my queen? Good morning!" I tried to sound enthusiastic.

          'Finally I got the chance to hear her voice.' I smile to the thought.

          [G-Good morning!] bati nya. She sounds nervous all of a sudden.

          "You don't sound good. Is anything okay?" nag-aalalang tanong ko.

          [Yes. I'm fine.]

 

 

          "Then I am relieved!" and I mean that. Akala ko may masama ng nangyari sa kanya.

           "Tumawag ako sa bahay nyo kanina ng hindi mo sagutin ang tawag ko. I've been calling you all this time to check you up pero walang sumasagot. Nag-alala tuloy ako!" Saan ka ba nagpunta kagabi? I want to add pero hindi na lang.

          I don't want to look as if I am a nosy boyfriend who always wants to be updated to my girlfriend's whereabouts. Baka magalit lang sa akin si Rina kapag naging ganoon ako.

          These past few months, Rina and I have a smooth sailing to our relationship. I know that she still have this feelings for that piece of bastard who leave her three years ago but I also knew that I slowly change the situation...that she's slowly falling for me.
