Trick or Treat

Y/n's pov

"Y/n! Get your butt down here already! These kids are getting restless and they want to go trick or treat already" Tori yelled from down stairs while I was busy doing last touches on my costume.

Let me catch you up with everything. Tori and I were in charge of chaperoning her baby cousins. The kids demanded us to wear a costume weeks before, so Tori and I ended up dressing up as supergirl and batgirl.

"Y/n pleeeasssee" Tori's littlest cousin, Lily, (aka our favorite but shhh) whined desperately just wanting to get candy already. I shake my in head in their eagerness, I fixed my mask and positioned it correctly and left before I got yelled at again. "So my partner fighting against crime finally shows up. Your so slow that the villain already ran away"Tori continues on with her banter, I rolled my eyes in response.

"Ugh finnnalllyyy your done" the little one huffed out crossing her arms. "I'm sorry love I was busy fixing my costume." I reason with the child who was ready to sass me back. "Uhuh and I was busy wait for you and not getting candy" I scan to see her outfit as captain America ((because fuck gender roles)) and her shield just blew the roof off the top because it was hella cute.

"Okay, okay. Come one little ones, let's gather around now. We are doing the buddy system so everyone find a buddy." I see everyone half on hands with their buddy when I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Y/n want to be my buddy" Tori lend her hand out for me to grab. I was about to accept the offer when a heard a "no" from a munchkin down below. "No Toto y/n is mine!" Lily grabs onto my arm not wanting to share. "Aww come one lily we can share y/n" as those two debated on who was going to hold my hand I checked on the rest too see if they had a buddy.

Oh it looks like we have an odd amount, Lily is the only on with out a buddy. "What about I give you some of my candy and we can share y/n?" Tori offers the child a deal. I was going to tell her that we had to be with Lily but she doesn't need to know that. I took this time to (low-key) check out Tori's costume.

It in fact turned out to be very nice. Her lion mane of curls were now straightened and she had the normal supergirl outfit (we tweaked a bit to be more appropriate). I checked the time to see it was 7:00 which means we only had two hours to trick or treat. I led the group of children to the sidewalk and head towards a house, while I held lily in one of my arms and held Tori's hand in the others.

The first house started off pretty great. The middle-aged lady who lived there loved our costume.
"Oh my what a cute group of superheroes" the lady complimented. Tori got the kids to line up for the candy. The lady requested to tell her what her we were. "Iron man!" "Wonder Woman!" "Peggy Carter!" "The Flash!" Each child squeaked out their response earning a candy bar in their bag. When it came to be Lily's turn, Lily started to be shy and hid in my shoulder. I started to whisper comforting words to her and eventually Lily became confident )to the point where I had to put her down). "I'm Captain America!" Lily boasts and showed off her shield. "Aww that's wonderful dear. Your momma did a very good job with the costume" the lady's response stunned me, I was snapped out of my thoughts when everyone said they're 'thank you' and tugged on my cape to leave.

I just shook off the thought and continue on to the next house not even noticing Tori recording the event. From one house to another we were able to exhaust our self so I decided it was time to head back. Thankfully we didn't actually walk that far so we had just barely enough energy to walk back. Everyone looked like they could just fall asleep on the floor right now but when I mention 'candy' and 'trade' they're heads perked up with wide eyes and ran downstairs.

There was only one who stayed behind and it was Lily. Lily had fallen asleep in my arms half way back to the house. "You would make a good mom" Tori commented behind me. I hummed a neutral response and rocked Lily in my arms. "Did you hear what the first house said?" I asked Tori after a moment of silence. "Yeah, I did. She thought you were Lily's mother. Which I can see why" I turned back to look at Tori who was now rummaging through Lily's candy bag. "Tori don't eat Lily's candy" I scolded light at Tori receiving a frown on her face. I still felt slightly uncomfortable at the thought of me being Lily's mother, I didn't really see me as a mother type. Tori came closer and hugged with Lily in between. "I can hear your thoughts from hear" we were touching our foreheads against each other, just standing there hugging. "Huh I guess your really supergirl then" I completely avoid the topic and didn't want to explain what I was feeling. "I was telling the truth you know. About you being a good mother. Just seeing how you take care and love Lily." I muffled a groan at the subject I didn't want to talk about. I don't know maybe one day we'll see.

I just want to thank again to those who read, vote and comment on this story. It give me more motivation to write. Sorry if this one wasn't very good as the others I didn't really plan this outline and sorry for my mistakes I'm typing this on mobile.

BUY HALLOW ON ITUNES. STREAM HALLOW ON SPOTIFY. Hallow is such a good song like dayummmn. Tbh I didn't really expect a new single to come out already. What are your guys thoughts on hallow?
