Being a sixth year, Slytherin has a reputation. Expected to be cunning, evil, or the people you should stay in their good side. That's what many saw me as, the typical Slytherin. But you see, I didn't bother to hold up that reputation. As long you don't get in my way, I'll let you live. Simple as that.

I didn't bother to listen in potion class being my last class for the day. Instead, I focused my attention to a golden-maned Hufflepuff across the room. I had a neutral feeling for Hufflepuffs, and so I didn't care what they did. Yet, this one girl always catches my attention. I didn't know what or how but she just did.

I would see her in the corner of my eyes laugh or smiling to her face. Seeing her smile brightly with one of her dimples showing. Very cute I must add, but also very out of hand for me. A Slytherin crushing on a Hufflepuff, a half-blood Hufflepuff too. My, would my parents will hex me at my thoughts. I try my best to please my parents as they have given me many things I've wanted. But then again, my parents have been blinded by their social status.

"Y/l/n, as seeing that you have no interest in paying attention. Please explain what the Amortentia potion does and what do you smell or I will have to take house points and give you detention." The professor scolded me.

I merely nodded my head recited the law like I was just singing the ABC's, "Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in the world. It is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals. Amortentia smells different to each person, according to what attracts them." I may not pay attention in class but I do know my things.

I lean over to smell the potion. "I smell pizza? And coconut? With a dash of...heaven?" I find myself surprise at the things I smelt.

"Hmm, very well. I'll let this slide just this once. But I do expect you to listen from now on" Thanks but I'll pass.

"As what Mrs. Y/l/n said, Amortentia is the most powerful love potion in existence. It's considered to be a powerful and highly dangerous potion. As stated it's dangerous to underestimate a powerful infatuation. Amortentia doesn't create actual love; it's impossible to manufacture or imitate love. The person under the effect of the potion will only hold an obsession for the person who administered it. Students are not allowed to brew it since it is so powerful."

"Finally, class I will now assign you into partners. You and your partners will need to create Elixir to Induce Euphoria and write a report on it." Ugh, partners. Hopefully, I won't be partnered with a sixth year that really should a first year.

"Y/l/n and Kelly" Oh, this changes things up.

I looked at her direction seeing her whisper to her group of friends then giggling. I looked around the classroom to find everyone else moving to their partners, yet she hadn't moved.

"Oi Kelly, we hadn't gotten all day!" I shouted across the room.

"Y/l/n! Your shouts aren't acceptable here " the professor once again scolded me along with a mutter of "5 points deducted from Slytherin"

I shrug that away and continued watching the Hufflepuff making her way towards me.

"Took you long enough" I grumbled at the girl, I was very impatient with things like this.

"Well I'm here now so let's get started"

"Step one- Add Shrivelfig until the potion turns turquoise." She leaned over to grab the Shrivelfig.
