The sea and sand

'Beep beep beep' my alarm goes off.
I swear alarm clocks makes me have heart attacks rather than waking me up.

I slap around my night table trying to turn off my alarm clock. I frowned with my eyes closed wondering why my alarm is on. Today is Friday I usually have a day off from work. Realization soon overcome my thoughts when I remembered that Tori and I have sometimes special planned today.

"Beach day," I whispered out.
"Beach day," I whispered out once more with a smile growing wider and wider.

"Beach day," I nudged Tori who was still sleeping.

"Huh? Wha... Peach?" Tori drowsily responded.

I started poking her from the sides. "Beach day beach day beach day"

Tori ignores me by scrunching the blankets up as a fort and turned away.

"Babe, it's beach day," I shake Tori to wake her up.

"Beach day?.... Beach day," Tori yawned clearly giving up the effort to stop me.

"Oh, beach day," Tori responds with a somewhat clearer voice.

"Beach day!," we both shouted out.

Tori and I have wait a long time to go to the beach. With her having to go away and not leaving her much free days at home, and I always busy with work as a photographer.

We have specifically planned this day all to our self at the beach. We were very passionate for the beach.

I mean the last we went there we saw our friend get engaged, so it's bound to be something special. 😎

First, we had to look decent as we had just woken up so it looks like a cat just threw up a hair ball on us. Once we had tamed our hair and freshen up, we started to pack our beach essentials.

"Towels," I started listing off our check-list.

"Check," Tori checks off.

"Sun-tan lotion"

"Got that"

"Snacks"

"Bingo"

"Speaker"

"Yup," Tori finalizes our final item.

We grabbed our bags and headed out to my car. I looked in the rear mirror and fixed my sunglasses and floppy hat. We were ready to roll.

Tori connected her phone to the aux cord and did her magic. This was usually the routine on car trips, I was the driver, pretty good at navigating and Tori was the DJ and snack person. The other way around would be very chaotic and dangerous (Tori almost drove us into a pool).

30 min drive and were at the beach. We stepped out ready to have a fun time.

I looked over to Tori to see her basically like one of those cheesy movies who have those girls in slowly motion flipping their perfect hair and running by the ocean side.

Tori literally look like a vision with her hair all sea-surf-y and tangled. Her sweater on over her swim suit and her skin all tan with all that colour in her cheeks.

"Yes, let's come to the beach every weekend," I said adoringly to Tori.

"Come on dork, let's get a spot before its all filled up," Tori dragged me by my hand. It's true though, it was a Friday so the beach was extra packed.

We maneuvered through the crowds of people searching for a spot. We were able to find a decent spot slightly farther away from the beach than we liked. But hey, we found a spot we were lucky.

We spread out our towels and set up the umbrella. We took time to sun-tan lotion each other like what good couples should do, and we started tanning. To be completely honest, I should be the only one tanning because I was white as fuck. Just looking at me outside is like looking at the Suns reflection in the mirror. ((lol idk why I wrote this I'm not even white))

We laid there for awhile soaking up the sun and making small talk when Tori mentions that we should go in the ocean. The thing is, I really want to go in the water but I'm also kinda afraid of the water. I just a weird feeling everyone I step in the ocean.

I give Tori an uncertain look. She held out her hand telling me to come. Instead, I asked her for a piggy back ride and wade out into the ocean so I could get closer with having to get wet. I saw her think for a moment before giving me a small grin.

I hopped onto her back and gave her a thank you kiss. As we got closer and closer to the sea I quickly realized what mistake I have done. Tori was going to drop me in the ocean.

Tori stopped walking around waist high sea level and began to laugh. I was clutching on to Tori scared.

"Oh my god Tori. You better not dROP ME OR I WILL SWEAR TO GOD NOT KISS YOU FOREVER," I threatened Tori as she laughs harder.

"Hmmm, I don't know about that y/n. I can feel you slipping out," Tori teeters back and forth.

"ABORT. ABORT MISSION" I scream frantically.

"Huh? What did you say, Y/n? Drop me? Sure, alright then," before I could protest anymore Tori had dropped me into the salty sea.

I stood up coughing up water and fixing my hair. "VICTORIA LOREN KELLY-"

I was about to yell at Tori when I was caught off with a pinch feeling on my ankle.

"Oh. My. God. I think a crab just pinched me." I said with a dead face and jumped on Tori's arm.

We stood there in silence. I was completely done with the ocean. Tori was just carrying me in her arms looking around the ocean.

"I'll bring you back to the shore if I get a kiss," Tori smirks.

"I'll give you all the kisses just get me back to the shore please," I begged Tori.

Tori walked back and plopped me down on the shore. The shore was much much better than the weight height area. We soon started making sandcastles and getting them destroyed by the waves.

We spent about a whole 5 hours chilling at the beach.  Our friends joined us later on from the fiasco, and had an intense game of volleyball (let's just say Tori and I are very competitive).

"Let's so beach day, every week."

"Agreed."
