Story 24: Conquer Your Fears

After Mae's team encountered the god, Three of her teammates we're blasted by the God's magical power that can show fears right before their eyes, Now the god is about to finish all of them at once, It's up to Mae and Marc to save them all from the shadow God's wrath....

Marc and Mae regroup with the ogre and their other teammates. "WHat the hell is that thing!?" Said marc a little surprised. Mae looked at the gunner. "Relax! His an ally!" Said mae. Then the ogre waved it's hand to marc, then gunner blinked then waved back. "Marc, i want you to listen... If i don't comeback... i want you to finish this mission..and bring back Our friends back to the guild. " said Mae to Marc a little serious. "Wait! You're planning to head back and kill the god!?" Said Marc a little worried. Mae nodded and looked at him. "You can't do this alone, mae...you'll need us..." said marc putting a hand on her shoulder. Mae looked down. "No.... I don't want you guys to get killed... " said Mae. Marc sighs then look down as well. "We'll do this as a team.. don't worry Mae..." marc hold her hand and squeezed it lightly. Mae looked at their hand and blushed a bit. "Marc...." she looked up to the gunner and smiled a little. "That's it..heheh.." said Marc smiling to her as well.

When everything was perfect, the god turned back to it's original form and roared towards Mae and Marc. "The god!" Marc yelled. Mae looked at the god then clenched her fist and grabbed her Pink staff. "Don't worry... Jad,.Vhea ,Pia.... We'll protect you.." mae thought of it. the ogre roar and grip it's wooden mace. "Let's go!" Mae yelled out then fires an electric bolt to the god, the god took the bolt and ignored the pain and swings it's arm to Mae and Marc. But the ogre grabbed it's arm and holds it tight. "Humans! Kill god now!" Said the ogre. Marc smirked then equipped his large gun. "Nice, that's what I've been waiting for!!" Yelled Marc then aims his gun to the god. The god growled at marc. The gunner smiled then fires a massive Laser beam to the god. The God's left arm was cut off due to the laser of Marc. Mae summoned a huge wave of water towards the god. The god was dragged by it and was knocked back to a large tree. Mae then aims her staff and fires another bolt of lightning to the wet god. The god roared in pain then was fried.

"Did human...beat god!?" The ogre asked. "I think she did it.." said Marc. Mae then gasped when the god fires a dark laser to mae. Mae didn't saw that coming then she was hit by the laser and fell on the ground. "Mae!" Marc shouted and rushes towards the mage. The ogre roared to the god and hit it with it's wooden mace, the god then punched the ogre causing it to be knocked back to the ground.

Marc saw Mae's eyes turned black. "Oh-no.. Hey Mae! Don't believe what you see in your mind! Mae!" Marc shouted to her. Inside Mae's thought, she was standing outside the guild of Ezkatka. "I-i'm...back??" She asked herself. Nora and the other guild members walked towards her, "g-guys!" She exclaimed happily then was about to hug them but nora yelled. "Stop! You do not belong here anymore! Our guild doesn't need any weaklings that can't even protect their teammates! " said nora. Mae's eyes widen when she heard what nora have said. "W-weakling..." she stutters. The other guild members laughed at the mage. Nora glared at mae in disappointment. Mae kneeled down and started to cry. "B-but I'm... I'm not a weakling..." she said in her mind then she wiped out her tears. "Crying?...heh..... I'm really am a weakling... i failed everyone..." she thought of it. Suddenly when she was about to lose hope someone in the guild walked in towards her and held out his hand. A teen wearing a white hood and equipped with two daggers on his waist. "Hey that's enough Mae... i know you're strong as Miguel and the other high-class warriors in the guild..." said the teen. mae looked up to see the figure and was surprised, it was jay. "J-jay??.." she said then looked down. "I'm not strong..you know that.." she added. Jay smiled then kneeled down to see her face. "Nonsense..... remember our mission together??.. you said you're stronger than me... i knew that you we're serious about that... and i know that it's true.. so Mae...I'm asking you this.." jay looked closer to the witch. Mae looked at jay then blushed. "Jay..." she said softly. "Prove me that I'm not wrong about that...will you??" He said smiling. Mae was surprised about what he just said and smiled while crying. "Jay.... i-i will...." she said softly and hugged him even though it's all an illusion created by her mind.

In the real world Mae finally turned back to herself. She gasped for air and sat up. "Mae!" Marc was surprised that she already woke up. "Listen! Everyone! I want you to conquer your fucking fears and break the illusion inside your minds!" Mae yelled out while standing up. Marc looked at their three teammates and hope that they'll conquer it.

Inside jad's mind he heard what Mae have said and looked at his sword. "Ma-Mae..." he whispered. His three brothers glared down at him then suddenly behind jad a figure put a hand on his shoulders. "You're not a disappointment to my guild, Jad.. Your family is..Ezkatka... remember that, we won't treat you like a trash in our guild...you're our family.. Jad.." said Nora smiling to him. Jad was surprised and smiled to their guild master. "That's right... i completely forgot... My Family is Ezkatka now.." said jad standing up and gripping his long blade. "Thanks....Nora" he whispered.

In Pia's mind, she was losing hope seeing the gods destroying the land of catnes. "H-help..." she stutters in fear. Then suddenly from their guild a god came out from their guild and roared, a god with gigantic arms and has a dragon scale skin. Pia was surprised by the roar of the god then it came in rushing towards the other gods and killed it with it's gigantic fists. "W-what's this... a god... attacking another.. god?!" She said to herself standing up. "I-it help us...destroy the gods..." she realize it then gasped.

And now in Vhea's mind, she's still covering her ears. Her father kept saying some disincentive words to her, then suddenly a familiar voice was heard behind vhea. "She's not an embarrassment to our guild!".said the teen behind vhea. Vhea looked back and saw Ardnaxela. "A-arddy..." she said while crying then ardnaxela smiled. "She's my best friend... she's not an embarrassment to me or any other person..... she's the greatest person that I've met and you can't change that!" Ardnaxela yelled out the vhea gasped when she heard all of that from the archer. "Arddy... y-you...mean that??" She whispered then smiled, "thanks.... Arddy.." she added.

Mae's teammates finally broke each of their illusions and successfully conquered their fears. "Woah! What the hell!?" Jad said while standing up. Mae smiled to them. "M-mae! Marc! You're all here!" Pia shouted. "Heh.. we can't just abandoned you guys" said Marc holding up his gun. Vhea smiled and nodded. "Thank you Mae.." said vhea. Mae smiled and grips her pink staff. "Don't thank me yet..we have a god to kill.." said the mage.

The god roared at them and glared at Mae's team, the ogre shook it's head and saw Mae and her team. "Humans??... alive!" The ogre was surprised. The god roared at them then rushes towards The mage's team about to kill every last one of them.
