19 year old's Kate and Rick smiled at each other as the preacher spoke.

They had snuck away in the middle of the night to get eloped.

Rick and Kate had been highschool sweethearts since they were in 10th grade.

"And you you Richard take Katherine to be your wife?"

"I do."

"And do you Katherine take Richard to be your husband?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife."

5 years later-

"Oook, let me see, put that over there and that over there." the blonde said and Rick walked up.

"Hi Gina."

"Oh Hi Rick, Josh wants to know if you wanna come over for dinner?"

"Sure." He smiled.

"You excited?" He asked.

Gina smiled and rubbed her pregnant belly.

"Very! Oh we were wondering.. would you like to be the godfather?" She asked shyly.

Rick smiled brightly and hugged her tightly.

"I'd be honored! Thank you."

Gina giggled and smiled. "Oh we have a meeting at 10 tomorrow." She said and Rick nodded.

"I'll be there." He said and walked out.

"See you tonight!" She called out and laughed.

Rick walked to his favorite coffee shop and ordered a regular.

He paid the barista before walking out.

He sighed and walked back to his empty loft.

A bark yelled through the house and Rick laughed.

"Hey boy!" He said and rubbed his head.

The dog barked and licked his master's face.

Rick laughed, "Ok Ok." He said and stood up.

Kate sighed, wedding plans, wedding plans wedding plans!

That's all she had going on.

Johanna walked up to her daughter and smiled.

"How are the plans going?" She asked and Kate smiled,

"Okay, I thought I'd be more excited." She said and Johanna softly smiled.

"So ugh I have so news, I don't want you to freak out." SHe said and Kate raised an eyebrow.

"What?" "You ugh.. you never divorced Rick." She said and Kate's hand flew to her mouth.

"What! But.. the papers and.."

"Somehow they must have gotten lost."

"Well I.. how do i get divorced?"

"You need to fly to New York and find him." Johanna said and Kate rubbed her head.

"I..I can't! He wouldn't want to see me! He hates me after what I did!" Kate said and Johanna sighed.

"Maybe.."

"I can't!" She yelled.

"I mean heck! After what I did!" She said and Johanna nodded.

"I'm sure he forgave you."

"NO mom! I left him! 2 weeks after we eloped I left him! For what! A career that never worked!" She said completely livid with herself.

"let me ask you a question, do you love will? Like really love him?" Johanna asked and Kate placed her hands on her face.

She looked at her engagement ring and chuckled.

She took it off and shook her head.

"No, I don't, I still love Rick."

"Then go back to New York and get him back!" She said and Kate's lip quivered.

"But what if he's already found someone! I couldn't bare to see him with another woman." She said and Johanna smiled softly.

"Rick was always a man of his word, when you said you wanted to spread your wings he said he'd wait for you always, I'm positive he's still waiting." Johanna said and Kate felt the tears on her cheek.

"I.. I have to get him back." kate said and she knew she needed to end things with Will first.

He was a nice guy but her heart still belonged to Rick.

When Kate left Will's house she actually thought it went better than expected, turns out he was actually going to break up with her, some blonde she wasn't really listening.

Kate packed her bag and got a 1 way ticket to New york.

She thought hard about this and knew she was right!

She was going to get Rick back if she had to beg!
