Chap 4-
It had been hours, Rick had tried to follow her but he lost her.
He was about to give up when he remembered their special spot!
She wouldn't go there would she?
Only one way to find out! He drove his car to the park and was shocked!
She was there! On the swing!
Rick got out and it started raining!
Oh great! He thought and walked up to her.
Kate gasped when Rick sat next to her.
"H..How did you find me?!" She asked and rick shrugged.
"This was always our spot." He said and Kate half smiled.
She didn't bother wiping her tears, it was raining anyway.
"I should go." She said and stood up but Rick stepped in front of her.
"If you knew the pain I went through.." He began and Kate began to sob.
She never realized how much she hurt him until she saw him again!
"Rick." She said but he stopped her.
"I waited for you, Waited everday hoping you'd come back! Each day a piece of my heart was crumbled." He said with emotion in his voice.
Kate sobbed and refused to look up.
"Earlier you asked me if I still love you." He said and Kate's eyes slowly looked up.
"Kate, I love you so much, I never stopped." He said.
Kate sobbed and shook her head, not wanting to hope.
"B..but you were hugging that woman earlier, I figured she was.." She trailed off and Rick chuckled.
"That was Gina, my publisher, she's like a sister to me. I was hugging her because she found out the gender of her baby and I'm the godfather." He said and Kate looked up.
"I messed up so much! I hurt you so much." She said and Rick softly smiled.
