Martha went to the bathroom and came back with a first aid kit.
"I'm so clumsy." Alexis said.
"No worries dear." She said and took some Alcohol for her wound.
"Here, roll up your sleeve." Martha said and Alexis nodded.
She rolled up her sleeve and Martha gasped.
The birthmark!
Martha went pale and Rick came over.
"Mother?!" He said.
Martha took a deep breath. Alexis's eyes widened.
"Are you ok?"
"T..the birthmark." She said and Alexis furrowed her brow.
"Oh, yea it's unusual." She said and Martha covered her mouth with her hand.
"It's not possible." She whispered.
"My adopted parents always told me it made me special." She said and Martha covered her mouth with her hand.
It couldn't be true could it ?! "Y..you're adopted!" She said and Alexis nodded.
"Yes.. they said that my birth mother had two children and couldn't afford to keep them both so she had to give me up." She said and Martha took a shaky breath.
"A..Alexis I know it might seem unbelievable but..I'm your birth mother." She said and everyone was silent.
You could hear a pin drop. Alexis's eyes widened, "W..What?!" She said.
Martha took a deep breath. "When I was 20.. I got married and my husband left me after 3 months.. I found out I was pregnant with twins." She said and Rick's eyes widened.
It felt like a stab to the heart! His mother never told him!
For the past 2 decades he had been alive his mother had never once told him!
How could he trust her now! He looked at Kate with panicky eyes and she took his hand.
