Chap 15-

 2 had months passed, Rick had come home a few weeks after the accident.

 The doctor had made him promise that he would take it easy for a while and just rest. 

Rick had agreed but wasn't happy about it. 

Kate had called her mother and asked her to ship all of her stuff from LA to the loft.

 She sold all her furniture since she had no need for it anymore.

 All she had was her clothes and a few other items. 

Molly had continued to open up to her parents and wasn't scared anymore. 

She thrived in school and made new friends.

 She had closed up a few times but Rick and Kate helped her open back up. 

Kate had been thrilled to find out that the firm she and her parents worked at also had a firm in New York.

 Kate immediately transferred to it and the head of the firm took a liking to her.

That's where she was going now. 

Kate quickly picked up her briefcase and ran out to the kitchen.

 Rick was there, with a travel cup full of coffee for her.

 Kate smiled and gave him a quick kiss. 

"You read my mind." She said as she smoothed out her business skirt.

 Rick chuckled and handed the cup to her. 

"Tell Molly I said bye." She said and grabbed her phone and keys.

 Kate went to the door and slipped her heels on and ran out the door. 

Rick shook his head and smiled. Kate hailed a cab and got to work in record time. 

She tapped her foot in the elevator and sighed. 

When the doors opened she walked out and walked into her office with a fast pace.

 "Kate." A voice said. 

Kate turned around and gasped.
