Chapter 3-
Rick walked out and Kate shyly smiled. "Hi." She said.
"Hi." He responded.
Kate tucked some hair behind her ear.
"Are you.. hungry?" She said and Rick shrugged.
"I could eat." He said and she nodded.
Kate placed some pancakes and bacon on a plate.
Rick began eating but felt a wet nose bump hm.
He chuckled, "Ready boy?" He said and Buster barked.
He smiled and threw the bacon up, buster catches it mid air and Rick rubbed his head, "Good boy." He said and finished eating.
Kate couldn't help but smile.
"So..your dream came true." She said and Rick wiped his hands.
"Yea guess it did." He said and stood up.
"Listen.." He began but Kate spoke before he could.
"Do you still love me?" She blurted out and Rick stopped.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He looked at her, she had tears in her eyes.
Rick closed his eyes and walked out. Kate's tears fell, she cried and didn't even wipe them.
Rick rubbed his hair and groaned.
"Ugh!" He yelled and rubbed his face.
"This is so hard." He said rubbing Buster.
The dog made a whimper noise and laid his head on Rick's lap.
Rick half smiled and rubbed the dog's head.
"You'll never leave right?" He teased and Buster barked.
"Didn't think so." He said and smiled.
Kate wiped her eyes and ran up the stairs.
She thought about leaving but she couldn't!
