Chap 8-
"What do you want?" A middle aged woman asked sharply.
Kate gasped and almost cried when she saw past the woman at the door.
This was a filthy house!
She felt bad for all the children placed here!
"We ugh.. I wanted to know if I could see one of your foster children." Kate said.
The woman folded her arms. "Which one?" Kate bit her lip and answered.
"A little girl named Molly." She said.
The woman rolled her eyes and opened the door.
"She's in game room." She said with a shortness.
Kate and Rick thanked her.
They walked into the room and the woman whistled.
"MOLLY!" She yelled and a little girl looked up, her brown curls and crystal blue eyes in all.
"Yes'um?" She said in a whisper.
"Some people here to see you." She said and nodded her head to Rick and Kate.
She nodded and stood up, they noticed she was holding a stuffed bunny.
IT looked old and raggedy.
"Hi Molly." Kate said sweetly.
Molly shyly smiled, "Hi."
"I ugh..my names Kate." She said and smiled.
Molly held her bunny tighter and lifted her eyes toward Rick.
Rick smiled and bent down in front of her.
"Hey there, I'm Rick." He said and she shyly smiled again.
"How about some candy?" He asked and she nodded.
Rick smiled and took some candy out of his pocket and handed it to Molly.
"How old are you sweetie?" Rick asked.
"5." She whispered.
Rick smiled and looked at Kate. She was holding back tears and took a deep breath.
