Pokemon- Why is Ash still 10?

Hey, so, I, a Pokemon fan always wonders and thinks about this question. Why doesn't Ash age? This franchise was up for a long time, and Ash is still 10.

Proof?

At the start of the Kanto region, the narrator says that Ash is still 10 years old. Then, we never heard the age of Ash for a long time, until he reaches the Unova Region. The narrator claims he's 10.

Wtf.

Anyways how this happened has about two reasons. One of them is about Ash seeing the legendary Ho-Oh at the start of the Kanto Region. In the Pokedex, it will say it will grant eternal happiness. Maybe this eternal happiness is about Ash never aging, so that he will continue living up his dream to be a Pokemon Master.

Also the other reason is that Ash is in a coma theory. Well I talked about this theory, just go back to the chapter if you want. If you're too lazy, Ash is in a coma because the shock. This means he's still asleep by now, but he's dreaming everything in the series. He's just dreaming that he's still ten and won't age.

Honestly, I believe the Ho-Oh theory more.
