Steven Universe - The Crystal Gems are evil?

YES DOUBLE SU THEORY woo!

Okay, I know that the main characters are usually good, but here, the Crystal Gems are helping and protecting humans.

But what do humans want to do? Usually ruin nature, overuse their power, and abuse. I don't even know the cause on why they help them-us.

And how bout Lapis? She was trapped in the mirror without any cause. Maybe the gems knew about her, and just abused her.

And they are usually the cause on every damage in Beach city.. And then bring lots of enemies.

And why would they just try and hunt for gems? Why can't they just let them free? They literally go far, just to capture gems and never let them free.

Maybe they went to earth for another purpose?

This is convincing like always, but there are some flaws. They're protecting humans probably for different and good reasons, like they are protecting humans because they might be hope who can save them from dangers also? Like there might be something bad happening in space, and they depend on the humans to save them..

Idk.

Well they also capture these gems so that researchers would be safe, and like weird coincidences like Lars and Sadie coming to the island.
