Lighting pov

It's been a week since I started living in the new world. I'm still trying to look for the others, but this world is a big place. It would take a miracle to at least find one of them. It's real peaceful here, the sky's clear, the sun is shining and the wind blowing through my hair. It's not like this everywhere, so I enjoy the peace as long as I can since I'm moving place to place to find them. I know my sister can protect herself, but I want to see her. I don't know if she's with Snow or not, I'm really worried about her.

We don't have eternal life anymore, so she could die if she's not strong enough to keep her self safe. No, don't think like that, Light. She'll be okay, she's okay, you'll find her soon. She feels close. Right now I'm at a coffee shop, I've been awake for two straight days, I don't have enough move to rent an apartment, and I do want to sleep in the streets so I have to stay awake. A waitress the brought me my cup of coffee and then left. I took a sip and looked out at the glass window. I don't know why, but I get the feeling as if someone I know is close by.

When the waitress came back I paid her and left the coffee shop. I'm a small town and it's like a ghost town when you're outside at 7:00am. It was very quiet, the only thing I could hear was the tapping of my heels every time they touched the concrete. I'm wearing the exact same clothes that I wore when I got off of that train when I arrived at this town. I changed while I was in that coffee shop, lucky there was only me and some other guy. While I was there I couldn't help but to notice him the minute he went inside the cafe.

"Mr. Estheim! Please wait. " I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around and my eyes widen, it was him, the same guy in the cafe, it was hope.

"Yes?" He turned around looking at the waitress, who apparently brought something to hope.

"Oh. I can't believe I forgot about it. Thank you very much." After he thank her she quickly went back to the cafe.

I smirked at the thought of hope leaving something at that cafe. I walked towards him, his back was sti ll facing me. I should trick him. He looks like as if he hasn't seen the others in a while as well.

"Excuse me, sir?" I said, sounding confused and lost. "Can you help me? I happen to be lost."

Hope nodded, no clue that it was me. "Sure, what can I help you with, miss- Lighting!" He looked surprised when he turned around, finding out that it was me.

"Hey, Hope. Long time no see."

"Yeah, to be honest, I thought I won't see you or the others for the rest of my life."

I chuckle. "Well, we will always find a way to each other, Hope. You should know that."

He nodded. He glanced at my suit case. "You were at the cafe, right? I wasn't sure if it was you so I didn't say anything. Have you been doing alright?"

"I guess, I've been moving place to place, searching for Serah. Something tells me that she's not with Snow, I'm worried about her."

"She'll be okay, Snow is probably looking for her, you know that, don't you?"

I smiled and nodded. "You must be tired, let me take you to my house so you can rest." Before I could protest, Hope had already grabbed my suitcase and started walking away.

I followed behind him. I'm surprised at how much he's grown. When I last saw him he was a child, but now he's an adult. "How can you go from a child to an adult just in a week, Hope? " I asked curiously. It's not normal for someone to grow that quickly in just one week.

"If I knew I'd tell you, but I don't know. All I know is that I grew up. I've been trying to figure out why, but everything I come up with doesn't make since. The only thing that makes since is that I've been eating my veggies. "

I laughed. "Well, whatever it is we'll find out. It'll just take time."

"Yeah. You're right, Light."

After walking for five more minutes, we arrived at Hope's house. He opened the door for me and let me go inside the house first before he did. I looked around and it looked like a peaceful place to live in. "I'll be right back, I'll go make us some tea." Hope said before he left to the kitchen while I was left in the living room alone. I sat on the grey couch and looked around. It is real peaceful here. I leaned back on the couch and felt my eyes getting heavier. Everything then became dark.

Hope's pov

I was still in the kitchen making tea for both me and Light. I wasn't sure what type of tea she likes so I chose green tea. I left the water boil while I went to the leaving room to hang my coat. When I got there I found Lightning sleeping on the couch on a sitting position. I carefully laid her down and took of her shoes so she would be comfortable. I took of my coat and placed it over her. She looked so tired, as if she hasn't gotten any sleep in days. I won't blame her though. She's worried about Serah, I would be too if I were in her shoes. I hope that everyone's okay and that we'll meet again soon.

I then left her be and started fixing the guest from for her. I made sure that the bed was very comfortable. She won't say anything but I know she's very tense so this bed might just do the trick. I got an empty picture frame from my room, put Serah's picture in it and left it in the night stand by Lightning's bed.

"Is this my room?" I heard a sleepy voice say behind me. I turned around and saw lightning staring at the bed. Wow, she's really tired. "Yeah, go head and sleep, I'll bring your things." She nodded and laid on the bed, letting out a heavy sigh. "Thank..you..Hope..for..everything." that was the last thing she said before she fell asleep. I smiled and nodded. "You're welcome. It's all I can do after all you did for me, back at Cocoon." I left to get Lightning's black heels and her suitcase, leaving them in her room.

I chuckled to myself after I closed her bedroom door. "I guess, I'm drinking the tea all by myself."
