Chapter 2

Riker POV

I ran after Emma.

"Emma, wait a second!"

"I don't want to talk about this anymore, Riker!"

"We have to talk, Emma!"

"I don't have to do anything!"

"Emma!"

I grabbed Emma's hand and pulled her up to my room. I closed my door, and stood in front of it.

"Riker, move. Now."

"No. Not until we fix this!"

"There's no way we're fixing this. Not yet, at least."

"Emma, I love you more than anything, and I just want to say that I'm sorry, and I want to make the next day and a half amazing, because that's all the time I have left with you."

"Riker, it's too late. Let's just forget about everything, and move on, ok?"

"Wait. What do you mean, move on?"

"Forget it. Just let me out."

"No! Not until we fix this!"

"We're not fixing it, Riker!"

"Emma, please!"

"Move, Riker! Let me out!"

"Can't we fix it!?"

"No!"

Emma POV

I tried pushing Riker away from the door, but he pushed me back, and I fell on the floor. He was turning into his old, mean self, and I was getting scared being locked in here with him.

I just looked up from the ground, still not believing what he just did to me. Riker's expression softened, and he knelt down beside me.

"Emma, I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me. I should never have done that."

"Stop! Don't touch me!"

"Emma."

"Get away from me!"

I backed up against the wall.

"Emma, I'm sorry!"

I grabbed my phone and called Rocky. Riker looked at me, confused.

"Hello?" Rocky answered.

"Come to Riker's room and get me out!"

Rocky hung up, and burst through the door seconds later. He tackled Riker on the floor, and I ran out to Rydel's room. I locked the door, and slid to the ground, crying.

The next day...

Riker POV

I couldn't get Emma to talk to me yesterday. I couldn't believe I seriously did what I did yesterday. It was ridiculous. I needed to control myself.

I kept trying to talk to her today, but Rydel wouldn't let me in the room! I was getting desperate. I knocked on Rydel's door one more time after dinner.

"Riker, enough. She doesn't want to talk to you," said Rydel.

"I know, but I really need to tell her something!"

"Riker, this is her last night. I don't want to have to hear her crying herself to sleep!"

"Rydel, this is really super important. Please let me talk to her."
