Emma POV

Everyone has accepted my and Riker's relationship, even his mom and Ross. And now we're really all a big happy family. I never would've thought that losing my dad could've turned into a good thing. But if that hadn't happened, Riker and I would've never made up after I left, and I wouldn't get to live with him.

I was still his math tutor, but he was getting better every day. We ended up getting an A on our theater project. There were no more unexpected surprises. Until this evening...

Riker walked into my bedroom with a strange expression on his face.

"Ok, Riker, you've barely said a word to me since school today. I know we got our math tests back today. Why won't you tell me what you got? I told you what I got!"

"You did?"

"Yeah."

"What?"

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"I got an 94. Now what did you get!?"

Riker looked away from my eyes, and I was getting frustrated.

"Riker. Did you fail?"

"Ummm..."

"Riker, seriously. It's ok if you did. I just want to know so I can better prepare you next time."

"No, I didn't fail."

"Then what? Did you get a bad grade?"

"No..."

"Then what!?"

"I..."

"Riker."

I realized Riker was holding his test behind his back.

"Please tell me, Riker."

"You don't want to know."

"Yes, I do! Tell me!"

Riker took the test out from behind his back. He was staring down at it, and I couldn't see what he got.

"Riker."

Riker flipped the test around so I could see it.

"100! I finally beat you!" Riker shouted.

I grabbed his test, with my mouth falling open.

"What!? How did you...?"

I flipped through his test, and he really got everything right. He actually beat me!

"Wow... Riker... Just wow," I said, handing his test back.

"I knew I could do it one day. But only because you helped me!"

Riker set his test down on my bed, and hugged me.

"I'm so proud of you, Riker. I'm glad you beat me. But next time, it's on!"

Riker and I broke apart. Riker was smiling at me, and his eyes were sparkling. We both leaned in and kissed. And it felt as amazing as ever.
