Morning...

Emma POV

"Emma, wake up!"

I opened my eyes to see Rydel standing next to my bed.

"Here, I brought you breakfast!"

Rydel handed me a plate of pancakes.

"Thanks, Rydel. You're amazing."

"I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed to make you feel better, and you can also avoid Riker for a little longer."

I smiled.

"Thanks."

After breakfast, I took a shower. When I came out of the bathroom, Riker was waiting right outside the door.

"Finally! I've been waiting to talk to you all morning!"

"Riker, I need to brush my hair first otherwise it'll dry all weird. I just forgot my brush in Rydel's room," I said, pushing past Riker.

Riker groaned annoyingly. I rolled my eyes, grabbed my brush, and went back in the bathroom to finish. When I came out again, Riker was still waiting there.

"Are you done now?" Riker asked in a whiny voice.

"Let me go put my clothes down in Rydel's room."

Of course Riker had to follow me into Rydel's room. I put my stuff down and then turned to him.

"What do you want, Riker?" I asked, putting my hands on my hips.

"I need to talk to you."

"Ok, talk."

"No! I want to take you out."

"Riker, I'm really not in the mood-"

"I know, I know. But I need you to trust me."

"After everything, Riker? You expect me to trust you?"

"Emma, please?"

"Riker, I don't want to."

"Emma, please? I just want to take you out so we can talk. Please? If you want to go back at any time, I'll take you right back here."

"You'll really take me straight back home?"

"I promise I will."

"Really?"

"Really! So can I take you out tonight?"

"I guess so..."

"Yes! Can we go now, actually?"

"Now?"

"Yeah."

"Fine... I better tell my mom first."

"You're mom's not here. She's at the bank sorting out some legal stuff."

"Ok whatever, let's just go."

Riker took my hand and pulled me out to his backyard.

"Riker, where are we going? I thought you said we were going out."

"We are. Outside."

I rolled my eyes.

"Come on. Follow me."

Riker took my hand, and we started walking into the woods.

"Riker, I'm not sure I like where this is going."

"Trust me."

After about 15 minutes of walking through the woods, Riker stopped.

"Here we are."
