My head throbbed as I squinted my eyes open to the blinding light shining through the cracks of my curtain. I groaned in agony and rolled over to the side of my bed, popping two red coloured pills in my mouth and forcing them down with a cup of water. My alarm clock flashed, '7:56a.m.'

My eyes widened as I shot up from bed, frantically looking around. Jess laid on her bed with her eyes tightly closed as her legs were placed in a rather very uncomfortable position. She snored as she rolled over to her side, snoring herself to sleep. I giggled as I looked at her sleeping, but quickly snapped myself out of my trance and getting out of my bed in a rush.

I didn't bother to bathe just yet and brushed my hair, tying it into a high ponytail as I like it. I wore the first set of clothes I could fish out from my closet and tied my sneakers before grabbing my bag and phone hurriedly and exiting out of the door. I sent Jess a text saying I had left for class and I'll see her at lunch before taking a sprint to class.

...

"Allison Michaels, you are late today," the lecturer shot me a death glare as I gulped, sweating as I felt almost everyone's eyes on me. Great, the anxiety's kicking in. "Sorry, professor. I promise I won't be late again. I kinda slept in today," I awkwardly scratched the back of my neck and looked down to my feet, fiddling with my fingers nervously behind my back.

As much as I tried to prevent it, I started hyperventilating and tears welled up in my eyes as everyone stared at me. The lecturer seemed to take notice and dismissed my late arrival before quickly asking me to take a seat. I nod gratefully and run up, escaping the stare from everybody. I find a seat beside Zack and just decided to sit beside him.

Placing my books on the table, I hung my bag on the back of my chair and turned my head to face Zack, who was complete oblivious that the fact I sat next to him. "Hey Zack," his head finally turns toward me, and his mouth hangs open. "Are you talking to me?" He asks in disbelief.

"Is there anyone else named Zackary here?" I asked, grinning.

He shakes his head and laughs softly. "Nope, I'm the original,"

I smile sweetly, giggling.

"We should better focus. If prof catches us whispering, we're dead meat,"

I nod and turn my focus to professor, who's babbling on and on and on about Hitler and the World War 2 era. I sighed and rested my head on my hand. "I've learned this already," I muttered under my breath. Zack's head snapped to me with one eyebrow raised. "You've learnt this?" He asks, his tone in disbelief. "Um, yeah. I have," I stated proudly.

"Uh, well, I might be a bit shameless saying this but uh, I'm really bad at this. Could you maybe, uh..?"

I smile, knowing where he was trying to aim at.

"Sure, I can tutor you. I have nothing to do anyways. When?"

"Any time's fine, really. If you're free later in the evening around 3:30, what about then?"

"Okay. Let's do it at the library. It's quieter there,"

He smiles and nods, just as the bell rings throughout the school, saving me and Zack from torture. I hoisted my bag up onto my shoulder and carried my books on my arm, supporting it with both my arms tucked under my books. "Well, I guess I'll see you later?" I said, referring it to more of a question.

He smiles and nods, fully standing up. It was now that I only realized he was so much taller than me, I was leveled to his chest. He smiled and looked down at me, before waving and walking out of class. I felt my cheeks flame up as I breathed in and out. For once, I felt nervous. You know that frustrating feeling that keeps you up thinking at night? I had it, and it felt terrible. You want to stop thinking and feeling about it, but it just can't seem to get off your mind.
