How the Time Flies

Chapter 14

"Morning." Julian says as I open my eyes. He was laying right next to me smiling. "How long have you been up?" I ask yawning. "I never really went to sleep. But I left the infirmary 3 hours ago. Your right the Doctor is starting to improve." He states. I get up and dressed. The next few days we head deeper into unknown space, and it feels like our journey is finally starting. The Doctor is released from the infirmary 3 days after we found him on Kata IV. Clara seems to be getting used to the Doctor having a different personality....or so I think. I'm actually unsure. "How do you feel about me dropping you off someplace for your Honeymoon?" The Doctor asks me as I sort through files on my computer in my office. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience you." I state. "Nonsense! Come on! I know you want to go to Risa and haven't had a vacation in years." He states pointing to his head. I roll my eyes. "I thought by now you'd stop reading my mind." I mutter. "It's the least I can do for you and him after saving me." He states. "Wait. Your  thanking Julian? The last time I checked you didn't really approve of him." I point out. "Eh. I see that you really love him. And that's what matters." The Doctor says smiling slightly. "Well. I'll talk it over with Julian but alright. Sure." I say still looking through stuff on my computer. The Doctor snatches the pad I had in my hand. "Oh. I didn't know about this. This is very interesting." The Doctor said speed reading it. "Would you give me that? It's classified." I say snatching it back from him. "Well sorry!" He says sarcastically. "Are you going to stand here waiting for me?" I ask him looking up. "Right. I'll be in the TARDIS with Clara when your ready." He states running off. I shake my head laughing. "That man.....that old man." I mutter. I get up and head out of my office and onto the bridge. "Captain." Commander Nog says nodding. "Commander." I say coming up to him. "I'm going to be taking my leave this week, I'm sure you can keep the crew in line till I get back." I say to him. "Have fun on Risa captain." He says smirking. I shake my head as I walk into the turbo lift. "Ferengi." I mutter to myself. I get up to the infirmary and go see Julian. "How do you feel about taking our honeymoon now?" I ask leaning in the doorway. I was keeping the automatic door from shutting. "That sounds great." He says not looking up from his microscope. I walk in and then stand behind him looking over his shoulder at what he was doing. "I see. Well. When your done with your experiment, I'll be in our quarters getting packed." I say. That snaps him out of what he's doing and gets up. "Sorry. I just have been busy since I got back." He says kissing me. "It's alright. Come on. The Doctor is waiting for us." I say. He nods and we get to our quarters and pack. A week on Risa, should be fun. Correction, will definitely be fun. Once we are all packed I take Porthos to my sister who will look after him while we are gone. We then rush down to shuttle bay 4 where the Doctor had put the TARDIS. "What took you so long?" He asks. "Well I can't just drop everything and leave? Now could I?" I point out. "She does run a ship Doctor, it's like me with my kids at school." Clara points out. "You humans and your jobs." He mutters. I beat the Doctor to the console and start putting in our destination. "So Risa....what's it like?" Clara asks excitedly. "I see the Doctor told you..." I mutter. "Uh. It's a vacation planet under the Federation. It's known for its beautiful beaches and....uh women." Julian says holding back a smirk. "Yes. But aren't you forgetting something?" I say crossing my arms and clearing my throat. "Right. I have a beautiful wife right here." He says coming up from behind me and hugging me. The TARDIS tilts to the left. "Flying." I point out to him. "Yeah....I'll just stand back and let you do that." He says. "Come on. Enjoy this time with him. I'll fly the TARDIS." The Doctor says coming up next to me. We get dropped off on Risa and say goodbye to the Doctor and Clara. I didn't know when I'd see him again. I just hoped that next time it would be under good circumstances.
