Chapter 13 - Prophecy

Storm's POV
As we laid on the blanket I could feel my powers surge still. I was meant to be showing Trott my home in the magical realm before quickly returning him home. Deciding to still follow up on my plan, I sat up slowly and looked over to where the portal sat open. "Trott?"

He sat up and looked at me, "yes Storm?" He replied. I took his hand and pulled him up to his feet before taking him in front of the portal.

"This is a portal to the magical realm" I said boldly. "I'm taking you there."

Trott looked intrigued, and happily took my hand. "Let's go then!" He ushered. So I did it. I took his hand and leapt into the portal taking Trott with me. We got to the other side safely and the portal stayed open behind us allowing for a return trip.

"Woah this place is cool," Trott said as he examined the magical artefacts littered about the tree house.

"Yeah it is. This is my birthplace Trott," I said smiling as I went to open the front door. "Shall we go for a walk, we won't go far I promise," I said as Trott saw the outside world for the first time. This is the moment I'd been waiting for, the moment I could show Trott my home, my life, my world even. As we walked hand in hand through the trees I contacted Katie via telepathy and told her to meet us at the great oak tree in the forest.

Unknown POV
What was happening to me, I was losing control, but I knew fine well why I was losing control. I'd lost her. She was my only weakness and now all my friends were gone. I was alone again, wandering around screaming their names waiting for them to reply so I could save them.

Who was I kidding this was a distraction, I knew that he was coming. I had to prepare otherwise he would kill me. Although one thing I wasn't sure of was the prophecy. The prophecy never made 100% sense when I recited it. There will be a dark force in the land which could only be stopped by the Amber Gem and the great Mage. The two won't make it alone, no each had to find their lover before they could regain full sanity and control of their powers. The two powerful people would have human lovers, the only two humans that were able to fight for their love and somehow survive in the magic realm. But for me how would I find my lover, how would I find the girl I'd lost.

Trott's POV
As I walked with Storm I could now see the magic that radiated from the forest, the power here showing me a new world full of light and magic, no science to be found. There were various mushrooms, and trees four times the size as the ones back on Earth. I now knew why this place meant a lot to Storm, I mean yeah it's her birthplace, but it's the most beautiful place I'd ever seen; and Storm fit in perfectly. "It's beautiful isn't it?" Storm said.

I looked to her and not the trees, "it sure is," I replied. She hadn't noticed what I'd done, but all the same we carried on walking.

We stopped at a large tree and waited around before someone popped out of nowhere. "Storm! And Trott?" Katie said running over to us. "I thought you couldn't bring humans into the magical realm?" Katie said. I looked to Storm as I panicked and she laughed before reassuring me that she'd cast some sort of spell to protect me. The two girls went away from me to have a private chat while I questioned what's so private I wasn't allowed to know.

Unknown 2 POV
I'd been walking through this forest for what felt like days. My arm had been badly cut, my face was covered in scars and blood fell from wounds all over my body, but I wasn't going to give up. I would find him. I would find him, I'd never give up on him. I need him.
We were destined for each other, the prophecy said so itself. I couldn't give up now, fate depended on it.

Storm's POV
"Katie my mum came in, so Trott can," I said. Katie looked horrified.

"Storm your mum had taken some of your father's blood so she was officially part magic. Trott however isn't, and I don't think he'd want to be turned magic," Katie explained. I panicked and clutched my head, before putting on a cool and collected act to fool Trott into believing he was safe. "Let's go back then Trott," I said hoping that he hadn't been affected by his visit.

"Yeah sure I'm coming," he said taking my hand again.

"I'll be the escort," Katie called out and she went with us back to the portal, talking to us on the way.

When we finally reached the tree house I helped Trott back to the top before we headed back to the portal. I left him there while I went to say goodbye to Katie again. "It was nice seeing you again," I said hugging her. She nodded and let me go back up. Once I arrived back at the portal Trott went in first and I followed. I stepped back out onto the sand and looked for Trott, but he was nowhere to be seen. Before I had any chance of diving back into the portal it had closed behind me, and Trott was stuck in the magic realm.

Trott's POV
I stepped into the portal, but wasn't taken home; no I was chucked out somewhere else and just as I was I felt my memories slip away from me. I fell to the floor. The next thing that happened was a blur as the next time I woke up the only thing I knew was my name.

So all you clever people may see little references and will instantly know who the unknowns are, but either way I hope you enjoy this, I'm sorry I didn't include many people in this chapter too
