*Jess's POV*

"Finally lunch time," Liv says as she sits down next to me

"I though it would never come," I say agreeing with her.

"Sorry about running out after the meeting this morning," She apologizes.

"Don't worry about it," I say," Sakiko and Chisato already told me why you had to leave any way."

"Let me guess more Sakiko than Chisato," She says rolling her eyes.

"Yup," I reply while shoveling food into her mouth.

"Wow, you sure got a big appetite," she comments

I swallow then answer,"The food here is really good and cheap so of course I'm going to enjoy all of it."

"Slow down we got time," She says. Then comes Sakiko and Chisato.

"Hey guys," Liv say to both of them as they sit down.

"Hi Liv," Chisato says.

"Hi Jess," Sakiko says before saying hi to Liv.

"So, Sakiko I heard you told Jess about my boyfriend," She says. Sakiko freezes instantly at this.

"She only did it to explain the situation," Chisato says.

"I know," she says leaning back in my chair. Sakiko instantly relaxes.

"It's so amazing how your boyfriend is a VIP staying at the hotel," I say,"how did you meet him."

"H-here at the hotel" she stammers. Suspicious I think to my self but I let it go.

"What does he do?" I ask another question. She seems hesitant to say and freezes so does Chisato.

Then Sakiko starts to tell me "He works with the M-" Liv covers her mouth and the looks in her eyes is begging Sakiko not to tell. Was she about to say Mafia I think to myself trying to dismiss the thought.

"So how was your day so far?" Liv asks Sakiko changing the subject.

"Same as always, but I haven't lost hope yet," Sakiko exclaims.

"Hope, for what exactly," I ask and Liv and Sakiko just look like I said something I shouldn't have.

"My quest to find a VIP boyfriend," Sakiko answers.

"You know the chance of that are pretty low," I say.

"I know but a girl can dream," she says.

"Ok," I answer and then go back to my food.

*After Work*

After work I receive a text from Tennoji.

'Hey meet me at Station we need to talk'

I reply back,'OK' then I tell Liv goodbye and head toward Station.

Once I get there I immediately find Tennoji and sit across from him.

" Hey, any new information?" He asks.

"Not much but the rumors about the Mafia might be right," I say.

"Any solid proof?" He asks.

"None," I say glumly. "How about you anything new?"

"Nope," he says," the people who are holding these auctions are very good at covering their tracks."

"Ok, enough talk about the investigation," I say."let's eat."

"Hehe, always about the food," he laughs.

"Of course I wouldn't be me if I wasn't about the food," I reply.

"True, true," he says.

The night continues with us joking and having fun forgetting about work for the time being. Once we finish everything he walks me back to the hotel.

"It's not enough time," I say hugging him.

"I know," he says resting his chin on top of my head," wait till the investigation is over and we will be able to do something fun."

"Promise," I say looking up at him.

"Promise," he replies and gives me a nice long kiss which I hungrily accept.

"I gotta go," I say once we are down kissing.

"I know," he says releasing me,"just don't do anything reckless."

"Ok, bye," I say and try to walk away but he pulls me in for one last kiss.

"Ok, now I'm satisfied," he says and walks away leaving me standing there yearning to go with him.
