Game Plan

"So how is it going down?" I ask the morning meeting.

"You'll will go in as a maid," Hanai said.

"For now he will be supporting from here and trying to dig up anything else about Tres Spades," Kirsawa replied.

"Aren't solo investigations forbidden?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, but this is a direct order from above," Kirsawa replied.

"Then why send Jess when you could send Yutaka instead?" Eiki questioned.

"That was the only way we could investigate, it's either Frost or the investigation stops," Kirsawa answered with a grim look.

"What the hell, why send her in and alone just to top it all off?!" Tennoji said seething with anger.

"I don't know but its orders from above so there is nothing we can do about it," Kirsawa replied.

"But..!" Tennoji tries to argue.

"No arguing, get back to work," Kirsawa says while trying to keep his cool about the decision.

"Frost as a maid," Kyobashi smirked, "this could be interesting."

"You just had to bring that up," I say shooting him a glare.

"Yes, maybe I should go to there and request special service," Kyobashi says.

"Police! Help! There's a pervert!" I say.

"..." Everyone just stares.

"Why isn't helping me?!" I say with a pout.

"You don't need our help," Hanai answers.

"Yes, I do," I countered.

"No, you don't" Hanai says handing me a pair of handcuffs.

"What am I supposed to do with these?!?" I ask dangling them in front of his face.

"Go arrest the perv."Eiki answers coming into the conversation.

"No." I say with a pout. I handed him back the handcuffs and sat down at my desk.

"Stop pouting," Tennoji says poking me in the cheek.

"..."I say nothing and continue to pout.

" And now she's giving us the silent treatment," Hanai says leaning back in his chair.

"*Sigh* what are we gonna do now, Jess isn't saying anything and we still need a plan so she doesn't go in completely alone," Eiki says.

"I'm not completely against the idea of going in alone," I mumble.

"Huh!?!?" Tennoji says. "No!No! a thousand times no! You are not going in that place all by yourself."

"I didn't agree to it, I just said that I wasn't completely against the idea," I say.

"That's basically the same thing as saying yes!" He argues.

"But yet it's not,"I counter.

"Yes it is" he counters back.

"No," I say.

"Ye-" He tried to counter but Kirsawa breaks it up."Ok that's enough stop arguing, this is why they compare us to a kindergarten classroom," he says.

"Sorry," we say at the same time.

"Look I'm also against Frost going in alone, but it's orders from above and we have to follow them," Kirsawa says.

" Then why don't we-" Tennoji tries to suggest but is cut off.

"Can't I already tried to negotiate didn't work out, there's bigger forces against us," Nomura says walking in.

"..." Tennoji says silent but you can tell he's angry because his fist are clenched.

"What brings you here?" Kirsawa asks.

"Aww little Hiroshi missed me," Nomura says.

" Even if we were the last people on earth I still wouldn't miss you," Kirsawa says with a glare.

"I'm hurt," Nomura says.

"In all seriousness, what troublesome news did you bring us today?" Kirsawa asks.

"I'll get right to the point, Jess you start tomorrow," Nomura says with a grim face.

"What?! We were supposed to start next week," Kirsawa say looking confused.

"Change of plans they want her in earlier so that she can get a feel of the hotel," Nomura answers.

"So basically the higher ups want Frost placement to seem more natural before we start investigating," Hanai comments.

"Precisely," Nomura answers." So no overtime for Jess today."

"Ok," I answer.

"Then I'll leave the rest to you guys," Nomura says walking out the room.

"Boss.." Tennoji starts.

"No,no more arguing what done is done get back to work," Kirsawa says "Frost you can leave a little bit early so you can ready for tomorrow."

"Yes sir," I nod.

"*Sigh*" I sigh as soon as I get home.

*Ring*Ring*

My cellphone rings. It's Tennoji.
"Hello?" I say.

"Don't do it," he pleads.

"I have to," I answer."It's part of the job."

"Yeah, but what happened to never doing solo investigations?" he says.

"I don't know," I answer. " I don't like it either but it's orders from the higher ups there's basically no room to argue."

"I know," he says " Just stay safe and don't do anything reckless."

"Ok," I answer." Goodnight."

"Night," he says and then the line goes dead.
