*Dream*
"Jess!" I call from the door.
"I'm coming Liv!" she answers running down the stairs greeting me in the door way
"Finally," I say rolling my eyes,"I was about to leave without you."
"I'm sorry, I couldn't find my boots," she answers.
"Yeah, yeah," I say waving her off and then I shout to her mom," bye Mrs. Frost."
"No need to shout," her mom says walking out of the kitchen,"you girls be careful."
"We're sixteen," Jess pouts,"I think we'll be fine."
"It's getting dark soon and the middle of December," her mom says," I think I have the right to be worried."
"We'll be fine Mrs. Frost we're just going into the woods," I say smoothing things over with her mom like usual.
"I know I just don't want anything to happen to you two," her mom says hugging us.
"Mooom," Jess complains.
"Oh, alright just don't be out to late," Jess mom says releasing us.
"We won't be,"I say smiling,"bye."
"Bye mom," Jess says as we walk out the door and into my car.
"Wanna go to our usual spot?" I ask backing out of the driveway.
"Do you even have to ask?" she says rolling my eyes and laughing.
"No, but it's a ritual," I laugh.
"*Sigh* I guess it is," she sighs.
"Then don't complain," I jokingly threaten.
*Time Skip*
"We should be getting back by now," she says standing up and stretching.
"Wow it got late," I say looking at my phone,"this place looks different in the dark."
"Yeah it does," she says looking up at the trees.
"Come on let's go," I say starting down the path.
She follows after me. "Wanna race?" I ask stopping.
"But you'll win," she complains.
"So?" I ask giving her the puppy dog eyes.
"Fiiine," she says agreeing.
"Yeah!" I shouts while jumping.
"On your marks..." she starts.
"Get set.....GO!" I say taking off. She keep ups with me in the beginning but quickly falls behind.
"Ow!" I shout when I trip over a rock and feel a sharp pain going up my right leg.
"What happened?" Jess asks quickly coming over to me.
"I tripped over a rock," I say sheepishly.
"Haha," she starts laughing.
"Stop laughing," I pout,"help me up already."
"Sorry," she apologizes whipping her tears away and helping me up.
"Ow!" I yelp when I put pressure on my right leg.
"Your hurt," she comments,"now I feel bad for laughing."
