I sat in class tapping the edge of the pen onto the desk as I thought about today, mainly of Gerard

"I wish more people were like you" I couldn't get those words out of my head, if people were like me there'd be a lot of fucked up people in this world...

"Frank, you okay?" Pete asked as he nudged me in the shoulder turning to him I nodded

"Yeah just distracted" I said truthfully,

Something about Gerard gave me butterflies, which I hated but at the same time loved

His red hair that fell down framing his face perfectly, the 'iron maiden' shirt he wore along with his skinny jeans and black boots added to his looks

The bell rang and I quickly got up pulling my book bag over my shoulder walking out of the room

I tossed my bag on the ground and took a seat at the lunch table accompanied by Brendon and Pete, I looked around looking for the bright vivid red hair but to my disappointment I couldn't find him I looked back down at my tray when something caught my eye

Outside I saw something red wave in the wind

"Uh, I think ill be right back, if I'm not its okay" I said before grabbing my bag and tray and heading towards the door

turning the corner, I saw Gerard, his eyes closed with both ear buds in, like he was trying to block out the world

I placed my bag next to him and sat down

"That seats taken" Gerard spoke up looking over at me

My eyes widened as I muttered 'ok' and grabbed my bags, Gerard grabbed my hand and pulled me back down

"Frank, I'm kidding" Gerard laughed, one side of his mouth raised higher than the other I smiled back at him

"so have you made any other friends?" I asked snapping the cover off my salad

"Nope, couldn't stop thinking about you Frankie" he teased laughing

"Frankie" I cringed at the nickname

"Hey at least you're not called Gee" he protested causing me to laugh yet again

"How come you didn't sit with us?" I asked looking at Gerard

his smile tilted downwards into a frown as he looked down at his hands

"I don't know, I figured id just be a burden." Gerard shrugged

"don't, you're fine, tomorrow sit with us!" I said trying to lighten his mood

"Okay, but if your friends don't like me, tell me, don't sugar coat it" he said staring me dead in the eye

I nodded with a small smile

"Hey aren't you gonna eat?" I asked motioning towards the brown sack he had next to his thigh

"I uh, I'm not hungry" he stuttered, I gave him a questioning look but decided not to press for answers

"thanks" Gerard said

"For what" I asked looking over at him, he looked upset which I hated

I didn't want him to be upset it didn't suit his looks, I liked it better when he smiled

"not asking" he said giving me a small smile

"Look at the two fags awe" Andy said standing in front of us, Jeremy and Cris next to him

"Fuck off Andy" I said glaring at him

"You know Frank, you can't deny it, the rebel of the school finally gets soft when the pretty boy shows up" Andy laughed
