I awaken

Gary Oak Pov.

I slowly open my eyes to a bright light. I quickly close my eyes back up and think where am I. I try to get out of the bed, but I feel a short pain my back telling me to lay back down.

I look around I could tell I was in a hospital. One of my grates fears. Probably my only fears. I see a IV tub attached to my arm and a weird thing over my armless shoulder. I look to my left and I see Iris asleep and I see Dawn just leaving the room. I try to call out to her, but no sound came out of my mouth.

I keep on trying until I finally say "Iris..."

She instantly gets up and looks around the room until her eyes lay upon me. Her eyes widen and she quickly calls the doctor and tells him I'm awake. 

Eventually everyone comes in the room. I see almost everyone crying. Especially Dawn, she didn't want to hurt me so she hugged Barry. I frowned at this.

The strangest of them all was seeing Iris shedding tears. I've only seen her cry once in my whole life. Once when she broke her leg almost in half and had to have surgery. She fine now, but sometimes has to take medicine twice a month. She has broke a lot of bones and I still can't believe she has never cried since that moment and now.

The doctor walks in and begins to speak, but I speak first "Where is my sister, how long have I been out, did you figure out who ran over..."

"Hold Mr.Oak I can only answer each question once at a time." Says the doctor with his hands up in the air.

He continues "Rght now your sister is awake. She broke her leg, broke her arm, and broke wrist. Would have been worst if thankfully you did cover her at the last second. Also you have been out for at least... Two weeks. You got punctured by a sharp rock in your thy. You broke a few ribs. You even broke your back. We were all surprised that you survived this... This.... Hurtful close in counter. You had a 10% of survival." 

My mouth is hanging open. I'm thinking 10% of survival that is really low. Also I had another question to ask.

"I have a question, why does my eye feel weird." I say pointing towards my left eye.

"O, I forgot to tell you about your eye." He replys handing me a mirror.

He continues "See how it looks normal, well it's actual robotic. If you press the side of your head on your temple you should be able to scan stuff, tell how much power they have, etc. Your grandfather made it for you since your got heavily damaged when you were hit by that building."

I nod and reply "when will me and my sister be out of this hospital."

He says back "Actual tomorrow because everything is healed. We put a bandage on your thy so you can't get it even more hurt. Your back is healed it's just going to be sore. And your ribs have healed nicely. Also your sister has already left yesterday so you get to leave tomorrow."

I nod and think 'I can't wait to get out of here.'

-----------The Next Day-----------

Gary Oak Pov.

I had healed up really nicely so I get to go back to class. I'm waiting for the teacher to call roll so we begin class and get this over with then Green goes up to the teacher and whispers in her ear.

What was that all about.

Green Oak Pov.

There was an hour before school started and Gary had went to the park to play basketball with Paul, Ash and Drew. I was sitting on my bed until my phone rang. I look at who it was and I saw it was Sabrina who texted me. I quickly look at her text.

Sabrina: Was up Green, I have some bad news to tell you.

With a puzzled look on my face I text back.

Green: What is it?

Sabrina: I'm just going to get this over with and say Grandfather died.

I froze. Grandfather died. Impossible, sure he has had a few heart attacks, but died impossible. I feel tears roll down my face. I wasn't that upset. Grandfather was going to pass away at some point. He said so himself. I quickly text back.

Green: How are we going to tell Gary? You know this was his favorite family member. Who knows what will happen when he finds out. You know what happen when he gets angry... Ash is the only one by force to able to calm him down.

Sabrina: Your going to have to tell him. You both have the same first class together. And if he goes....well  you know. Ash can calm him down.

I text back

Green: Ok, I will try my best. Wish me luck.

I put up my phone and think to myself this going to be a tuff morning.
