Elyza's POV

"Are you sure your okay?

I nodded and stared wearily at my coffee "I guess. I called my dad, he said it would take some time, but he could take me to heaven to get them healed."

Noah shuffled his feet "That's good news right?"

"I guess"

"For what it's worth" he grinned "Ronah's being severely punished for what she did, Coven was really pissed with her, even the rest of the council"

"She really wasn't nice at all" I smiled sheepishly.

He sighed and raked his hair, smiling he pushed his coffee in front of him and stood up.

"W-wait where are you going" I called.

He merely smirked and said "Do you want to get left or not?"

I quickly rose from my seat, glancing at the twenty dollars Noah left on the table and turning my heel. I stumbled out of the café, pushing the door open and stepping into the cool breeze. People passed me by, brushing my coat and body as they did so, I continuously muttered 'sorry mam/sir' as I frantically looked for the brown haired boy but somehow I was alone.

The feeling of panic coursed through my veins as my head turned back and forth, for one he took me to the part of town where I didn't have a clue how to get home and two, I saw him as my protection.

He's the only one I've seemed to trust these couple weeks, I was half angel, we can see people's auras and his aura was white; meaning pure. I could trust him.

From the corner of my I saw a black coat and brown hair disappear behind a wall leading to a deserted alley. My heart jumped as I darted for the direction Noah disappeared in, my shoes tapped along the concreate floor as I found myself in a place which was hidden from the general public, it was deserted; only but a few rats and dust bins, papers and rubbish. No one could really see down this alley. "Noah?" I called.

Then I saw him, a fragment of him. A glimpse of his usual smirk, the flick of his black coat as he submerged in water. Yes water. It was a portal, completely made out of water and Noah walked straight into it. I guess I'm going to have to follow.

"Come on Eli, you didn't take ten years of swimming lessons for nothing" I whispered to myself. I broke out into a run, any second I would hit the cold water, any second who knows what would be on the otherside, I took a chance anyway and hit the water with a splash. With my eyes squeezed shut I only hoped that I wouldn't end up stuck in another world. I landed with a thud on something soft yet firm, something that reminded me that I wasn't dead.

I wasn't even soaked in water. I was dry, completely dry.

"You got the guts to jump Row"

"You're insane! are you crazy? is jumping though a random portal normal for you?" I snapped as I heaved myself of the green grass and brushed off bits of leaves from my clothes. I was about to snap at him again when I actually looked at where we were and I couldn't have been more breathtaken. It was night time where we were, the sky was a blanket over us and the moon hung low, lower than usual; we weren't on earth anymore.

Even if we were I doubted there was a place like this on earth, a lake lay before us, glistening in the moon light surrounded by tiny fireflies all different colours. Pink, blue, violet, indigo; orange, yellow, red.

It was enchantingly beautiful, so beautiful my bones were stiff and I was stood in one place staring upon this beautiful forest. However I was pulled out of my trance when one of the fireflies came and fluttered in front of me, the only weird thing was, they weren't fireflies. They were a mermaid like, glowing creature with small wings on its back and a smile which held so much happiness it made me happy too.
