"I just miss him...that's all"

"Are you okay?"

I heard a voice.

I grazed my hands along the wooden floor and sat up "You know, I'm tired of falling flat on my face"

He laughed gently and took my hand to help me up. We were back in the library, the portal was still open and frankly I didn't want to go back in, Oblivion wasn't the kind of place to be. Zoe's body lay in front of me and my heart stung, I quickly unclipped the necklace around me and stalked my way to her pale body, she looked so peaceful, so serene, like nothing and no one can ever hurt her again.

"Please wake up" I whispered as I opened the locket and watched her blue dust float out and slowly make her way to her body.

Nothing happen-

"Shit" her body jerked, she sat up with a jolt as she gasped for air. "That was the longest sleep I've ever had"

Yep, she was back. I hugged her tightly and helped her off the floor, she gripped her now and arrow tightly in her hands, I didn't even know she used how and arrow, I didn't even know she used a weapon. "Thank you for bringing me back, that Dominic bastard should die today" she said angrily. "I'd happily do it"

"Believe me I want to do it too but We need to go" Noah said restlessly.

"To the highest building" I finished for him.

"But that's ages away, the institute is out of town how will we get there in time?" Zoe asked skeptically.

Noah's eyes flashed a light brown as a smirk spread across his face. Zoe and I exchanged looks of nervousness as neither of us dared to ask why he was smiling but Zoe managed to speak up despite her small voice "W-why are you smirking..."

"We're going on a trip" He simply said. He gripped our hands, yanked us into his chest and wrapped both arms around our necks, we were so close together I could hear the beating of Zoe's heart which beat furiously in her chest, not to me soon Noah's heart beat which was surprisingly slow; he bent down and whispered "Don't scream"

He said that to me once, I didn't scream, it was more of shock but Zoe, this was the first time for her, she screamed so loudly I could've sworn the glass upstairs broke.

I opened my eyes to the dim light, to the scent of intoxicating smoke; to the sense of fear which floated around the air. The sky had turned black, the mood has turned a gory shade of blood red, smoke rose high into the starless sky and buildings had collapsed into rubble on the floor. What was left of the city was no more, soon there will be no city, soon there may not even be an earth.

People ran screaming, crying and stumbling along the floor trying to get away from the creatures which tried to harm them. The creatures from my dream. It was shadowy with the face like the man but body of some fowl creature, it had no mouth, just two black protruding eyes; it slowly fell to its hands and feet, walking like a dog but looking like man at the same time.
It didn't get too close, mostly because we were so far away.

Noah took his hands in mine and forced me to look at him. My heart was beating so fast and I was so scared, I could've had a mental break down there and then, but his calming, gentle brown eyes stilled the storm in my body "Do you have a weapon?"

I pulled out the sword from my pocket and gestured it to him.
"You know how to use it?"

"No, I just carried it to make me look deadly" I said sarcastically.
