"On the rise of the full moon. The world will fall dark, the sky will turn black and the moon will turn red. The destruction of man will be the glorious triumph in history and I will reign as the empress I once was"

"Zara!" I shot out of bed gasping for breath. Sweat dropped down my brow and tears blurred my vision. I had another dream and it wasn't the dream I wanted to dream of.

"Shh, it's alright" a warm hand stroked my cheek. I forgot Noah and Dean volunteered to stay awake to night and keep watch.

My breathing began to calm as I looked up at the crouching figure beside my bed "It was another dream"

"What was it about?" He whispered.

I didn't even want to say it "Zara won. We lost"

The next couple days everyone was in slow motion, why? Because I told them about my dream and they refused to believe it. Who am I kidding? I wanted to refuse to believe it too, we can't just lose like that, she can't win. Under any circumstance.

It's approximately one more day until the full moon, when everything will go south, when the real war actually begins. Everyone was preparing themselves, Dean and Tristan gathered vampire packs from all over the country including Russia, Arianne said there were a few vampire packs in her village that wouldn't mind helping.

Rixon and Callum gathered wolf packs, and they tried to plan where to take Josh when everything goes down.

"We'll take him to the woods" Jesse said. Rixon's beta, her long pin straight hair was tied up into a tight pony take. Her posture was lethal and I'm pretty sure she can do much more damage that what she says she can do "We'll keep him in the woods, in the pack caves until everything's over. He'll be safe, me and two other wolves will keep him safe"

Mom nodded and bent down to Josh so she was level with him "Tomorrow morning sweetheart, you're going on an adventure with Aunt Jesse here"

Jesse smiled at Josh but I seemed forced like she wasn't used to smiling. Like she wasn't used to children. Josh isn't the kind of child to refuse to go with someone he didn't know or scowl or pull a face, he merely smiled and giggled, sucked on his thumb and nodded in understanding.

"Well I guess we're ready then" Dad said.

I gripped the handle of my coffee cup. I wasn't ready. Not yet.
