Here Comes Forever **SEQUEL** (R5 fan fiction)

Chapter 9

I wake up to beeping of machines, ugh not another hospital i've had enough of those for one life time! I open my eyes to see Riker sitting in a chair fast asleep, although his head is at an angle that cannot be comfortable! I look under the blankets and the stomach area is heavily bandage. I sigh and stare at the IV tubes going into my arm.

Riker jumps and falls out of the chair, "Riker! are you ok?" I ask, after i finish laughing of course. Riker stands up his hand to his head, "owww. Nova you're awake!" "yeah i am, how long have i been out?" Riker looks at his hands, "four days." "SERIOUSLY!!" Riker nods, "yeah, the doctors were scared that you weren'e gonna wake up."

"Riker what happened to me?" I ask suddenly a lot more scared then i was a few seconds ago. "I'm not exactly sure, a bunch of stuff with a bunch of long names that only doctors understand." "oh, i'm gonna be ok right?" Riker nods, "yeah, you could have died if you didn'd wake up, but you did so you'll be fine." "that's reassuring." I say and Riker laughs.

"So are we in LA or were?" "We're still in the redwood area, and no body knows about this little incident except me." I nod, "ok, when can i leave?" Riker shrugs, "dunno, i'll go get a nurse." He says then leaves the room.

I lay back in my bed and sigh, "and this is why i don't like camping!" I say to myself. A few minutes later Riker walks back into the room, nurse on tow. She starts going around doing stuff with the machines, and sticking needles in my arm. After she redid my bandages she finally looked up at us.

"when can i leave?" I demand. The nurse looks at her clipboard, "now actually." "really?" I ask surprised because that is not what i was expecting the answer to be. "yeah you've been here almost a week, so you can go." "sweet!" I cry looking at a Riker who is trying to hold back laughter.

"whats so funny?" I ask crossing my arms. Riker shrugs, "nothing, just even when you get attacked by a bear and hospitalized you still act the same." "I can act different if you want." I offer. Riker tilts his head in confusion, "how?" I grin at him, "oh Riker i am so pitiful and helpless here in my bed, can you please take me to the car, then adjust the A/C correctly, then buckle my seat belt exactly how i like it?"

Riker shakes his head quickly, "on the other hand you act fine!" I laugh and look at the nurse who is looking at us like we're insane (which isn't exactly wrong). "Can i like have some clothes or something, cuz this hospital gown is not cutting it!" I say looking down at the half dress i'm wearing.

The nurse nods, "i'll be right back." She walks briskly out of the room. "she probably thinks we're crazy." Riker states looking at the door with a smile. "who doesn't?" I ask grinning. "good point." Suddenly Rikers phone rings making us both jump. "really? Call Me Maybe is your ring tone?" I ask smirking at him. Riker shrugs and answers the phone.

"Yallo? You what! How do you lock someone in the bathroom?! Rocky! It's above the door! Bye!" Riker puts his phone back in his pocket while shaking his head. "ok explain!" I demand. Riker laughs, "Ok so Rocky and Ryland got in a fight and Rocky locked Ryland in the basement and they can't find the key so they had to ask me." "you have a basement?" I ask. Riker stares at me, "I just told you that Ryland was locked in  the basement and all you ask is that we have a basement?!"  I nod, "yeah"

"well then yes we have a basement." "huh, that's news." "I can tell!" I laugh as the nurse walks back into the room. "here are your clothes." She says handing the pants and shirt i was wearing when i went into the hospital. "Thanks" I say as she leaves the room.

I turn to Riker, "either turn around or leave." Riker turns around grumbling. I get out of the bed and I almost collapse, apparently 4 days without walking makes you pretty weak. I regain my footing and change my clothes. "ok lets get out of here! I can't stand the hospital!" Riker nods and takes my hand, "lets go." We walk out of the room, I'm a little wobbly but otherwise fine.
