It was 5:45 in the morning and an alarm went off, causing Rocky roll over and hit the snooze, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He was exhausted since he only went to bed five hours earlier, but he couldn't complain about waking up early. He glanced over at you as you shifted in bed; the alarm woke you up, too. You start to grumble and groan. "What time is it?" your hoarse voice asks as you bury your face into your pillow.
"Shhh," Rocky said as he scooted his body closer to yours in the queen bed you shared. His long arms hugged around you, closing the gap between the two of you. While you were a little bit angry that you were woken up so early, you couldn't help but fall in love with him a little more when he nuzzled his face into your neck. You could feel the scruff on his chin and neck against your own skin. "I just want to hold you," he whispered into your ear, placing a little kiss on your earlobe.
You stretch your arms out above your head with a yawn before rolling over to face the sweet man behind you. His eyelids were still heavy with sleep and were barely open, but he was grinning contently. Your fingers found their way to his long, tangled hair and you gently rubbed behind his ear, reaching up to give him a kiss on the cheek before you snuggled into him, resting your head on his chest. "I thought you didn't have to be up until 6," you said when you noticed the alarm clock now only read 5:50.
"I don't," Rocky whispered. His hands rubbed up and down your back underneath the loose shirt you wore to bed. "I just wanted to hold you for a little bit without feeling guilty." His lips met the crown of your head and lingered as he sighed. Your legs entwined underneath the messy covers and your hand rested on his chest as you closed your eyes and savored the moment. "I love you, Y/N. You're the best cuddler."
You giggled and kissed his bare chest lightly, your hand traveling down to his stomach. "I love you, too," you murmured. You tried to ignore the time on the clock as it ticked closer and closer to 6.
Eventually, the second alarm went off and Rocky groaned. This time, he actually turned the alarm off and set it back down on the nightstand. "Babe, I really do need to go take a shower," he said to you. Even though you were unhappy, you rolled onto your back on your side of the bed. When Rocky saw the sad look in your eyes, his heart melted. "Aww," he chuckled sadly as he stood up and stretched, arching his back. "Don't make that face. It makes me want to stay in bed with you forever."
You did your best to soften your expression as you watched him search through the dresser for a fresh set of clothing. "When you come home, you better cuddle with me some more."
"Deal," he winked before shutting the bathroom door. You pulled the blankets up over your head as the shower water started. It was going to be hard to go back to sleep with him on your mind.
