*Ross's POV*
I lost Y/N about an hour into the album release party. I always had to keep an eye on her, especially when there was alcohol involved. She had the tendency to drink too much and get carried away. The part of her brain that told her to stop just didn't exist. I wasn't too worried since I knew she couldn't go far, but that didn't stop me from excusing myself from my conversations and looking through the crowd for her.
The search didn't take long because of her distinct laugh. She cackled and it echoed through the house, leading me straight to her. I found her in the basement playing beer pong, on the same team as Rocky and Riker. "Take that, boys!" she snickered as one of the guys on the other team picked up the cup and pulled out the ping pong ball, drinking its contents. Rocky and Riker both high-fived her as she took a shot of tequila. There were several empty glasses next to her. "Oh hey, Rossy baby," she slurred as she saw me.
"Nice, guys," I said to my brothers, who backed away with guilty expressions painted on their faces. "How many have you had?" I asked her as she stumbled into my arms.
"I am dizzy," she groaned. Her fingers grasped at the sleeves of my jacket. "Did you see me? They said a girl couldn't beat them. How does it feel, fellas?" She threw up her middle finger and Rocky cheered, snickering uncontrollably at the reactions she got from the other guys.
"You taught them, huh?" I said, trying to hold up her weight so she didn't fall over.
"You bet your sweet ass I did," she laughed, trying to reach Riker to give him another high five. I shot him a warning look. She was in the cocky stage of intoxication. It had gone way too far.
"I'm going to take you home, sweetheart," I told her. Rocky handed me the flannel she had taken off during the game. "Say goodbye to everyone."
"Bye Riker. Bye Rocky. You both improved a lot during this game," she mumbled. "If you just take all of my pointers, you'll be pros in no time. See you later, alligators."
They both stifled their laughter. "After while, crocodile," Rocky called back. She winked at him as we both started to walk away.
"Did you drive here?" I asked her, brushing the hair out of her face. The crowd parted as I made my way towards the front door.
She could barely keep her balance, bumping into everything that she came near. One of her arms flew up over my shoulder and she tapped me. "Stop moving, please," she groaned. "Everything's moving really fast." I stood still, holding her tight. Her face nuzzled into my neck. "Ooh, you smell good, Shor," she whispered.
I chuckled quietly. "Honey, did you drive your car here tonight?"
"Yeah. Keys in my back pocket. You can get them if you'd like." My hand found its way to her backside, patting around for the keys. "Oh my!" she giggled. "You're going to have to buy me a drink first, mister!"
I pulled the keys out and shook my head at her as she wiggled her eyebrows at me. Her eyes twinkled mischievously. Even when she was trashed, she looked beautiful. "You've had enough to drink, beautiful. Let me take you home."
"I don't usually go home with strange men in the middle of the night," she said with her mouth hanging open in surprise. "But you are awfully cute."
"Shh. Let's go." I pretty much had to carry her to her car and buckle her in. She was so far gone. Her little giggles and hiccups filled the small car interior. Her car stereo was playing her favorite CD, causing her to sway and mumble the lyrics along the way. I was glad when we pulled up to her apartment, because any second later and I wouldn't be able to get her into bed.
"Ross, I can't see," she cried as her hands pawed for the handle to the door. Her eyes were squeezed shut. I quickly got out and walked around to the other side of the car to open her door. "What was that? Ross, I'm scared!"
"I got you," I said quietly as I gently took ahold of her arm. "Let's go to bed, okay? Let me help you."
"Ross, I hurt. My eyes don't work." She clung onto me as she tried to stand up.
"You're okay." I held her close as we walked up the stairs and I used her key to open the door to her apartment. "I'm going to pick you up darling," I told her as I hooked my arm under her knees and lifted her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and groaned. When we got into her room, I pulled her clothes off and tucked her into bed.
"Wait," she sighed. "Come cuddle me, please." The tone of her voice made me melt. My shirt and pants hit the floor before I crawled next to her. "That's better," she sighed when my arm rested upon her waist.
I smiled warmly. "I love you. Remember that when you feel like dying in the morning."
