The weather was wonderful in Prague and the band was lucky enough to have a day off. They decided to wander around the city as usual, and Rocky begged me to join them instead of spending the day on the bus with my laptop. We wandered up and down the streets until we spotted an open park area. Mesmerized by the statue, I detached my hand from Rocky's and made my way over to it. I soon realized that he had stopped walking completely and collapsed onto the bright green grass below him.
"What are you doing?" I laughed, reaching down to grab his arms. I pulled and struggled, fighting against his dead weight to pick him back up. "Get up!" I whined as I tugged at the sleeve of his jacket.
Rocky's eyes were closed and his lips curled up into a subtle content smile. "I'm good, thanks," he chuckled, shaking his arms away from my grasp. He clasped his fingers and rested them on his chest and sighed. "You can join me down here if you want."
"In the middle of the grass?" I asked with my eyebrows raised. "While everyone is staring?" I looked around, watching as the rest of his band wandered, and random strangers passed by on the sidewalks. Then my gaze went down to the soft, freshly cut grass. "There's probably bugs down there, you know."
"Who gives a shit," he responded. He shifted and pulled off his jacket, balling it up and placing it behind his head as a pillow. "It's warm and relaxing," he said, squinting his eyes open. "Come here."
"I'm good, thanks," I mocked, but he reached up, grabbed my dangling hand, and pulled me down. I fell onto my knees in the grass and frowned, but Rocky was laughing. My anger melted away as I watched him. Since I was down there anyway, I collapsed onto my back, resting my head next to his. "I guess it's not so bad down here," I admitted.
His eyes fluttered shut once again and I couldn't help but admire the way the sun made his hair and tan skin glow. He looked so peaceful and content, the stress of tour melting away. Following his lead, I closed my own eyes and took a couple of deep breaths. The warmth of the sun lulled me into a dreamlike state, that was interrupted when I heard Rocky's voice. "Y/N?" he asked.
"Mmm," I responded, keeping my eyes closed. When he didn't respond, I cracked one eye open and turned my head towards him. He tapped his chest, inviting me over to him. The smirk on his face challenged me to move closer. With little hesitation, I rolled onto my stomach and rested my head on his stomach. I could feel his body moving with each little breath and one of his hands found its way to the back of my head, tangling his fingers into my hair. "This is nice," I sighed.
"Very," he agreed.
We laid like that for a few minutes, basking in the late afternoon sunlight. We would've fallen asleep if it weren't for Riker. "Let's go, lovebirds," he joked, nudging his foot into Rocky's leg. "We have a lot more to see before the sun goes down."
"It was great while it lasted," I joked, pushing myself up off of Rocky's stomach and onto my knees, then back up onto my feet.
He nodded and got up, shaking the grass off of his jacket and tossing it over his shoulder. I turned to walk back to the group when he grabbed my arm, stopping and pulling me into his embrace. His lips met mine in a long kiss. "I love you," he whispered.
"You too," I giggled "Let's go before Riker ruptures an aneurysm."
