Chapter Twenty: A Little Addition to the Famliy

Evangeline's POV

I looked down and saw two pink lines. I was pregnant. I looked down at my belly and rubbed it. A little baby was growing inside of me. I was going to be a mother. I was so overwhelmed with how I was feeling or how I was suppose to feel. Tears began pooling in my eyes. They were tears of happiness and uncertainty.

I decided to break the news to Anne and Anna. I walked out and both of them immediately got up from their sitting positions on the bed and walked towards me.

"What does it say honey?" both Anna and Anne said at the same time.

"I-I'm pregnant"

It was a moment of silence before Anne started yelling in glee.

"YES! I KNEW IT. I JUST KNEW IT! I"M GONNA BE A GRANDMA AND HAVE GRAND-BABIES NOW! OH THANK THE LORD. YAY!"

Anne and Anna were giggling and jumping in joy while I just sat in confusion and awe. Weren't they angry or mad?

"Y-you guys are okay with that?"

"Of course honey. You and David are perfect for each other and having a baby on the way makes everything so much more exciting. I can't wait till your wedding. I know that David proposed yesterday to you. Welcome to the family honey even though you were already considered part of the family since the first time I met you"

"Thank you Anne. It means a lot. I-I excited about this baby but what if David doesn't want the baby"

"Nonsense child! David will be very happy"

"Plus if he doesn't he'll have to deal with me Evangeline and I will knock some sense into his thick head. Just know that I'll always be here for you and so will the rest of the family"

I was full on crying. I was so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.

I hugged Anne and Anna. It felt nice to receive a hug from someone else from David. I finally get to experience what a family hug felt like.

We broke away and smiled at each other with tears in our eyes.

"I guess it's time we tell David. I think he's still really worried about you Evangeline"

I nodded and went to unlock the door. Within seconds of opening it I was engulfed into strong arms. I snuggled into his chest more and wrapped my hands around his waist.

"Are you alright Angel. What's going on?"

I pulled back and placed his hand on my belly. He have me a look of confusion before a wide grin grew on his face.

"We're having a baby?" He said excitedly.

"Yes we are. Are you happy about that, if not then I..."

I didn't get to finish my sentence since he claimed my lips with his. I was so lost in our heated moment I forgot about Anna and Anne standing behind watching us.

"Um as much as I like both of you, I don't want to see something that'll scar me for life" Anna said.

I broke off from him immediately and flushed bright red.

"Angel I'm very happy and excited that we're having a baby. I can't think of anybody else in this world I would want to have a baby with except for you. I love you"

"I love you too"

"Well this calls for a celebration for your pregnancy and engagement!" Anne said gleefully.

"Mom I think we should leave the two alone for now. Let's go. We'll come back and visit the love birds again soon"

"B-but I want to pick out baby names and go shopping with Evangeline and..."

"MOM, we'll do that later plus Angel seems exhausted"

"Okay" Anne said defeated with a sad frown.

I giggled because the scene was funny. It seemed as if Anne was a child being scolded by her mother even though she was the older one here.

"I'm sorry Anne I would love your company but I think I need some rest"

"It's alright honey. Maybe we'll go tomorrow or sometime this week. I'll see you both later okay. And David be good to your wife and baby. Oh and IF I hear that you haven't been treating Evangeline right you'll be in BIG trouble mister"

"Yes mother. I'll treat her like a queen" David said wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Good you better. Let's go home Anna"

We walked them to the door and watched them until they disappeared off into distance.
