Here's a new chapter. たのしんでに

I arrived at school after a few minutes. It's not far from home after all.

I closed the cab's door I'd rented and hurried inside the campus.

Hamilton University appeared so differently tonight.

Lights were all around. There are booths in some places. Students are scattered in the big field. Chatting, laughing, taking pictures, eating, etc..

The staffs really did a good job this year huh?

Why say so?

Because, last year's acquaintance party was terrible and boring. Causing all students to go went home disappointed.

I remember when the principal stood on the stage to welcome the freshmen, a guy threw him a rotten tomato. That was terrible! But that made everyone laughed. Think about the principal's face when the tomato landed perfectly on his head. And the guy's face when he received a letter from the principal's office saying he's expelled. "That's more than terrible!" as Jewel said.

Wait.
Speaking of Jewel.
Where are they?

I roamed around the campus to look for them. Finally I found them on the fountain area. Jewel waa holding a phone impatiently. Dianne was standing. Beside her was Reece and Chris, Reece's friend who often accompanies Reece.

Jewel was the first one who saw me as I walked towards them. Then she poked Dianne and pointed me to her. Dianne smiled at me and waved. Signaled me to hurry.

I paced and stood beside Jewel.

"What took you so long?!" Jewel approached. "Please Jewel. I'm not ready for your sisterly lessons." I rolled my eyes. Annoyed.
"You're just ignorant Case." She said, crossing her arms to her chest.
"I know right?" I said sarcastically.
"Easy, Jew. Atleast she came." Dianne massaged Jewel's shoulder to calm her. "So what's the plan?" I asked to change the mood around. "Well, we're planning to go to some booths. Check for some new things and eat." Jewel answered.
"Okay. So let's go?" I exclaimed.
They nodded in agreement. Jewel and Dianne led the way to a booth nearby.
Reece walked beside me. While his ftiend was behind us talking to someone on the phone.
"You look different tonight." Reece whispered. I looked at him strangely. It's the first time that he talk to me. Weird.

I gave him a fake smile.

"Maybe because I'm not wearing my eyeglasses this time."
He smiled and stared at me.
"Yeah. You look much prettier without it anyways." He winked.

Is he flirting with me?!

I flashed another fake smile and continued to walk. Ignoring his eyes watching me.

I caught Dianne looked at me.

Wait. Did she just saw Reece and I talking?

I smiled at her like nothing happened. She ignored me and walked fast beside Jewel instead.

Oh no. Jealousy alert. Damn this flirt Reece. I hissed.

We stopped at an art booth. Jewel approached the guy who was incharged to asked about the things in the booth. Reece and Chris are chatting next to us. While Dianne was silently lookinh at some displays. I grabbed the opportunity to talk to Dianne. I know she saw us, Reece and me, talked and she's jealous. I was to clear it to her.

I went beside Dianne.

"Hey, you okay?" I asked her.
She didn't replied.

I sighed. "So you're jealous."

With that she faced me. She looked like she's going to cry.
"No need to be jealous, Di." I assured her.
"I know Case, but the way he looked at you.. it's.. different." She said, nearly to cry.
"You know I'm not the only girl whom he stared at like that, right?" I said.
She just nodded.

Reece is a pervert. Dianne knew that. He likes to check out some girls and we often see him flirting with them. The first time I saw Reece I warned Dianne to stay out of him. But, well, who am I to stop my bestfriend's heart from falling for a guy like him? All I can do is to watch over Dianne.

I tapped Dianne's shoulder.
"Don't worry Di. If he did it again, I'll kick his ass for flirting. But not too much." I winked at her.
She smiled at me.
"Thanks Casey." She said.
I cuddled her.

Okay. Now, I'll start to avoid Reece.
