The god!

No way!

I can feel my heart beating so fast.
Will I go? Approach them? Pretend that I haven't met him before? Will I just go home instead?

These were my thoughts.
I don't know what to do. I feel like I'm  stucked in that place, standing. I feel like fainting any moment. Damn! What did this man do to me?!

Jewel noticed me. She waved at me. I just waved back. Then the others turned to the place where I'm standing, wondering who Jewel was waving at.. including the god.

He smiled after he recognized me.

I blushed.
Oh my god!

I pushed myself to go and join them. And pretended nothing happend.

"What took you so long?" Jewel asked in almost a whisper as I was sitting by her side. "I was going to think the toilet bowl had swallowed you already." She continued, sounding sarcastic. I just shook my head in reply.
Then Jewel poked my side. "Case." She said. Whispering but I can notice that she's giggling. "He's the guy." pointing to the god. "On Dianne's phone, remember?"
Oh yes! That's him! I knew it! That's why his face looks familiar. He's the hot guy Jewel was talking about!

My eyes widen.
Jewel noticed my reaction and gave me a 'what's-with-that-look' look.
"Hey, don't tell me you already met him, before." She asked suspiciously. But still whispering. No. I must not tell her.
I shook my head. "Nope. I haven't met him before."
I lied.
I don't want her to know what happend lately. I knew Jewel had a deep crush on that god. And I don't want her to envy me knowing that I liked the guy she likes. Jewel is a jealous girl. And no one would dare to test her jealousy.

"Then what's with that look?" She said, studying my face. I turned my face away from her. "N-Nothing. I-It's just..uhm.. I'm not feeling okay."
Gosh, Casey. Don't blush. Please, not infront of Jewel.
"C-Can I go home now?" I asked to change the topic and avoid the tension. Jewel then flashed a worried look. "Are you sick, Case?". "Y-Yeah. I think." I replied.
Jewel then cleared her throat to catch the attention of the others.
They all looked at her.
"I think we should go now. Sorry guys." She said to Reece and his friends. "But why so early?". Reece asked. "Casey's not feeling well." They all turned their gaze towards me. I bowed my head. I don't want them to see my face turning red in shame. I know they're disappointed. Especially Dianne. Because I spoiled her happy moments with Reece.
"Do you want me to escort you out?" Reece again. "Nah, we can manage. Just enjoy your night guys." Jewel winked at them.
At the corner of my eye, I saw the god staring at me. His face looked confused and  worried at the same time. My heart turned violently inside of my chest.
Oh no! Casey, please! Don't blush! Please don't blush!
I turned and walked ahead of Jewel and Dianne.

On our way home, I know my two friends are worried. They keep on asking me what was wrong. But I avoided their questions. I just kept silent.

On my bed, I'm still thinking of what happened at the party. The god. Who was he? Why did my heart beated that fast when I saw him sitting there? Did he really noticed me? Why didn't he say a word? Didn't he recognized that I'm the one who bumped into him hours ago?
Wait! Why am I even thinking of that guy?!

"Argh!" I groaned. I tucked my face on my pillow and tried to forget about the god.

Then I fell asleep.
