I walk into school with Luke holding my hand. By now I am used to the jealous looks from other girls so I just focus on the conversation we are having. I glance over at Luke and admire the way his lip ring moves against his lip as he talks. "Are you even listening?" He laughs as he realizes I was day dreaming. "Oh yeah, you were talking about your mom."

"Yeah, she is in love with you. She keeps asking about when you will come over and blah blah blah." He makes a mouth moving motion with his free hand and then lets it fall against his leg. "I mean don't get me wrong, I love that she likes you but it is getting annoying. You need to come over just to shut her up." We turn towards each other when we reach my locker and he slides his arms around me. I rest my head against the cold locker as I smile up at Luke. "I think you jealous someone likes me more then you." I poke his nose and he flinches away. "Maybe thats true-" He leans down to kiss me but right as our lips are about to connect a loud voice screams in my ear. "EW COOTIES!" Both of us look over to see Ashton and Calum standing behind an amused Michael who stand inches from us. Luke places his whole hand over Michael's face and then shoves him away.

As Luke and Michael begin to "fight" in the middle of the hallway, Ashton walks over to me. Me and the two boys watch the two children push each other around as students walk around them. By now they are as used to their craziness as we are. "Are you doing okay?" Ash whispers in my ear so that Calum can't hear our conversation. "Yeah, im doing really well actually. Its been a week since the nightmares and they help with other stuff too." He gives me a quizzical look as I say "other stuff" but doesn't try to ask more about it. "Thats good I guess. When will you get off of it?" I turn to look at him now. "I don't know, whenever I feel like it." I cross my arms over my chest and begin to take on the argument he will make. "Ashton I love you but sometimes you are more of a Dad then a friend." I can sense out of the corner of my eye that the fighting has stopped and Michael and Luke started to walk over. By the stance Luke takes next to me I can tell its because he heard us arguing. "Well since you don't have one someone has to be." I stand frozen as I here all of the boys including Ashton gasp. I can see the regret in his face as soon as he said it but I didn't care. "Ainsley I am-" I cut him off by raising my hand and then shove past Luke to run to my class. I can hear Luke run after me but the bell rings and I am already in class by the time he gets close enough.

I sit down at my desk and stare out the window. It looks over the forest that is next to the school. Its the reason why I picked this desk, whenever I am in a bad mood it seems to make me feel better. "Hello class, I hope everyone is ready to learn some Spanish." I hear groans through out the room but my eyes stay on the trees. All the groans stop once I hear the door open. My vision shifts to see out of the corner of my eye but my head stays toward the window. "Um class, I was not informed of this but we have a new student." This time I turn my whole head and I see the boy. "This is Kallin." he searches room and his eyes land on mine as a smirk grows on his face I turn and look back at the woods. I an hear the teacher whisper to him to take a seat and its then that I realize that the seats surrounding me are all empty. Shit. Next thing I know I feel someone slide into the seat next to me. "Hi."I glare at him out of the corner of my eye and he puts up his hands in surrender. "Or hey, I guess your not a hi type of person." I feel like I could laugh but I wouldn't want to give him the satisfaction. "So whats your story? You look like someone that has been through shit." I look at him this time and give him my best are you crazy or just stupid look. "Okay, no personal questions. How about a name? I would like to make at least one friend today." He flashes me a giant white smile and bats his eyelashes at me. I have to admit that he isn't causing me to rip my hair out so he may be tolerable. "Im Ainsley." His shoulder length black hair moves against his collarbone as he shakes his head. "Okay, now we are getting somewhere." I chuckle a little causing him to smile again. He leans back in his chair and extends his legs out onto the chair in front of him. "So on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the worst. How big of a hell hole is this?" He looks around the room at the working students then back at me. "Well depending on your personality and friends, which I assume your like me. Its a 8 or 9. Leaving room for actual hell to be 10." He nods his head again as he processes what I say. "Well-" He pauses for dramatic effect as he leans forward and rests his elbows on the desk and with a wink he says. "Good thing Im the devil."

I walk into lunch to see all four boys already at our table. Kallin is following behind as we make our way into the lunch line. He is actually really cool and funny, it also turns out that we have two classes so far together. Then after lunch we have gym together. "So far you have told me about your boyfriend, your dad and you best friend."He points to each of his fingers as he lists another. "I think we are best friend status." He flicks his wrist and talks as if he is a typical white girl then giggles while jumping up and down. I laugh as everyone around us gives him dirty looks. "So are your other friends as cool as you?" I frantically shake my head yes as I shove a carrot in my mouth. "They are crazy funny, crazy cool and crazy crazy like you." I scrunch my nose up in an adorable kitten way at Kallin as we walk towards the table with our food. I turned to look at Luke who was staring down Kallin. Soon the other three turned too right as we sat down. "Guys this is Kallin. He is new and in a couple of my classes." Everyone but Luke waves and greets him as we sit down. Luke is to the right of me and Kallin to the left. Everyone else is across from me. "So Calum did you hear about the party that is happening this weekend?" Michael turns to his friend along with everyone else. "A party? No way! I am always the life of those." I laugh at Kallin as do the other boys but once again Luke doesnt. "Where did you used to go to school? Did they have a lot of parties?" Ash leans forward as he talks. "I went to Plymouth so yeah every weekend there was a party."

"That is also a druggie school, do you do a lot of drugs?" We all turn to Luke as we all sense the tension in his voice. "Um yes, no? Who hasn't tried a thing or two." I wrap my arm around Luke and rest my chin on his shoulder as the others carry on a conversation. "Whats wrong babe?" I can feel his tension begin to slip away as I draw circles on his back. "I don't know, I was just worried about you this morning. Ashton said a pretty bad thing." He turns slightly towards me and wraps his arms around me and I snuggle up into his chest. "I know, I was mad too but he didn't mean it. Ashton was just worried about me too." He looks down at me and I flinch at my mistake. "What was he worried about?" I start to sit up and inch a little away from him. "Nothing, he was just being an over protective brother." I smile to try to make it seem like its the truth but I can tell he only semi buys it. "Okay." He looks at me questioningly but then he wraps me in his arms again as we watch the other boys talk about the party on Friday. "Are you going Ainsley?" Kallin gives me puppy dog eyes since I had already told him earlier that I don't like parties. "Um I don't know," He even starts to make his bottom lip quiver. I laugh before saying. "Okay if you stop I will go." I playfully shove him and then look to see Michael, Calum and Ashton staring in shock. "What?" I shove another carrot in my mouth. "We have been asking you to come to a party for weeks!" Michael practically yells in frustration. "Well you guys aren't as cool as my best friend." I throw my arm across Kallin's shoulder and try not to notice Ashton and Luke exchanging worried glances.
