The week went by in a blur, after Ashton leaving Wednesday morning the week was uneventful. Me and Luke didn't talk unless we passed each other in the hall and even then we only said hello. He sat with Sloane and her friends and Eli sat with me and Ashton. Friday at lunch Ash brought up if I had a date to the party yet and Eli kindly offered to take me when I said no.

It was now Saturday night and I was about to start getting ready for Eli to come get me. "Are you going out tonight Honey?" My Mom called down the hall from in her bedroom. "Yeah, Ash is having a party" "Okay, say goodbye before you go." I mumbled an okay while I brushed my hair. I had already taken a shower and blow dried my hair. I straightened my ink colored hair and walked into my closet to get my clothes. Ashton had said it was a casual party but I decided to wear a dress. I pulled a white skater skirt dress with three quarter length sleeves from the hanger and pulled it over my head. My make up still needed to be done so I went into the bathroom and did a black smokey eye with my eye shadow and put on black eyeliner plus mascara. I turned around so that I could see my full reflection and approved my look. After slipping into my red stilettos I walked into my Moms room to say goodbye. "Oh Ainsley you look gorgeous." She brought both of her hands up to her cheeks and shook her head in disbelief. "How could my little girl be so grown up?" "Mom please stop." I laughed at her reaction as I made my way over to sit on the bed. "Your outfit is missing something." "I was going to put on some red lip stick later."

"Okay do it now so I can see." I pulled the tube from my brown messenger bag and applied it. "Nope, still not there." She got up from her Indian sitting position on the bed and disappeared into her master bathroom. "Oh! Here it is." She came from the room a moment later at resumed her position on the purple bed spread. "I have been saving this for when you turned 18 but I think it would bring your outfit together." I looked down at her hand and saw a silver charm bracelet with a variety of charms on it. "Its beautiful." I took it from her hand to examine it further. There was a ballerina, a dog, a heart and many more along the silver chain. "It was my great grandmas and she gave it to my mother then to me. Now it is your turn." The age explains the wore down look that it carried but it made it more beautiful. "I love it." My arms snaked around my Mom's neck as we held each other in a tight embrace. "Now put it on." I slipped the cool metal over my wrist and held my hand away from my face to look at it in the light. "I was right, it completed your outfit." "Yes it does." I felt a vibration in my purse and pulled out my phone. Eli had texted me saying he was here. "Well my dates here." I gave my Mother one last hug before walking out towards the front door. "Be careful!" I closed the door without responding and made my way to Eli's black jeep. "Well don't you look great." As soon as I closed the door he rolled away from the curb and head towards Ashtons house. "Thank you, you look quite good yourself." He was wearing black skinny jeans and a white button down shirt with a black tie and a leather jacket. He looked like your typical bad boy with his jet black hair falling into his emerald eyes. Through out our 5 five minute drive her kept sneaking looks at me. "Why do you keep doing that?" "Doing what?" he chuckled as he turned on his blinker to turn down Ash's street. "You keep looking at me." He pulled up to the curb and parked the car then turned to me. "I just really like you and your looking especially beautiful tonight." Little butterfly's swarmed in my stomach. Me and Eli have been spending a lot of time together this week and I like him a lot too but he hasn't even asked me on a real date yet. "Ainsley, this might be a little late but can this count as our first date?" He looked up at me from under his hair and my heart did a flip flop inside my chest. "Of course." I smile spread across my face and soon it his face mirrored mine. "Thank goodness, I thought you would say no." We both got out of the car and I walked around the car to meet him on the side walk. "Why did you think that?"
"Because your you and I am me" I looked at the boy in front of me and no longer saw a bad boy but someone with insecurity's. "Well I happen to like you." Eli smiled to himself and then took my hand in his as he lead me towards Ashton's house. We had to walk a block due to the amount of people here. "There is more people here then usual." I said it more to myself then to Eli but her nodded his head in agreement. As we neared the two story house the music from inside became louder. A Sleeping With Sirens song filled my eardrums and I began to sing along to the lyrics. "Do you like this song?" "Yeah, I love this band. I want to see them in concert one day." He turned back towards the house as we began to walk towards the front door. Teenagers already half drunk littered the lawn. Some were swaying on their feet even though it was only 10 pm. You could already smell the beer coming from inside but as soon as you stepped into the house the smell intensified. "Do you want a drink?" I shook my head yes and Eli pulled me through the crowd toward the kitchen. I have been in this house thousand of times but between my height and the amount of people, I had no idea what room we were currently in. It was either the living room or dining room. "Do you drink that fruity shit or do you want beer?" I laughed at his statement then responded. "A beer is fine." I was bobbing up and down to the music coming through the speakers next to me and took the bottle from Eli. "Hey guys! I'm glad you made it." I turned to find Ashton with a blonde draped under his arm. "Hey Ash, who is this?" "This is Penny." She looked like a hooker with her thigh high boots and skin tight red dress. "Nice to meet you." I stuck my hand out for her to shake and she politely took it and smiled back. "Luke is here with Sloane." Ashton always knew how to kill the mood. "I don't-" "That's cool! Lets go say hey." Eli cut me off and offered to do what I had feared. Before I could protest against the idea he took my hand and pulled me into the crowd and towards the one person I didn't want to see.
