I walked down the empty streets of Manhattan in my Shadow outfit and my mask on my face
I just finished stopping a bank robbery down a corner
Now, i walked along the quiet streets of Manhattan which, in the morning, was full of people and cars and noise
I was just walking when someone behind me said "Hello."
I spun fast and pointed the tip of my sword to the man's throat
"Woah there." He said in an accent that sounded like . . . almost Russian
The man looked my age. His hair was unusually silver and his eyes were a pale blue. For some reason, he looked familiar
I frowned and tilted my head "Who are you?"
He smirked "Quicksilver. Nice to meet you."
Then, more people came. Yay
It was Iron Man, Captain America, and the Scarlet Witch
"What the hell?" Was the only thing i could think to say
"Hi." Iron man, AKA Tony Stark, said "I'm guessing your the Shadow?"
"Great job, Sherlock." Quicksilver muttered
I twirled my sword in my hand "So, what do you want? I must have done something really bad to get the attention to attract the Avengers. "
Captain America shook his head "You didn't do anything wrong-"
"Yet." I added
"We're here because SHIELD sent us." He finished
I groaned "Oh, great. Let me guess, Fury sent you didn't he?"
They all looked worried, except for Quicksilver who just smirked
"She's smart." He said
"Look," Captain America said "Yes, Fury sent us to you."
"I knew it." I said
"But its only because he's worried."
"Like everyday." Quicksilver added
"Why would he be worried?" I asked "The man has a flying helipad so fully armed it could wipe out Brooklyn, Massachusetts."
"That's a bit exaggerated." Scarlet Witch said
"He could though." Quicksilver added
"Because," The captain said "even Fury doesn't know what you are, exactly. For all we know, you could wipe out everyone of us."
"I could." I admitted "But only if you tick me off."
"That is exactly Fury's point." He said "The point is, if you don't come with us, Fury will find you."
I scowled "He can try."
"Well," Tony said "I guess we'll have to do this the hard way."
His hand beams started to load
"Tony, don't!" Captain America said, but Stark had already fired
You'd think i got hurt, right?
Wrong. I put my hand in front of me and i caught the plasma blast
They all backed up in alarm
"You see, Stark." I said, tossing the plasma ball up and down in my hand. "Plasma is sort of like really hot fire. That's why i can do this." I closed my hand, and the plasma disappeared
"Anyone else?" I asked
The Captain threw his shield at me. I ducked and threw it back to him. He caught it and used it to block the fireball i threw at him
"Witch, now!" Stark yelled "Freeze her!"
She tried to, but it didn't work
"I cant!" She said "Her mind . . . i cant get in it! Not while she's conscious!"
I made a silent thank you to the Professor X, my old telepathy mentor
I blasted Iron Man with a gust of wind, sending him into a billboard
Yes, i could've killed them already, but i don't want to really hurt them. They were just doing their job, that's all
Even if their job was to kidnap me
Then, i stomped my foot and ice spread around the floor, making Quicksilver slip into an alley
Then, i suddenly saw a dozen missiles coming towards me, courtesy of Iron Man, himself
So, i did the only thing i could think of. I made a portal in front of me, swallowing up the missiles
Then, i felt drowsy. Summoning portals always drained up my energy
I was wobbly and feeling sleepy
Unfortunately, they noticed
"Witch!" Captain America yelled "Now!"
The Scarlet Witch seemed to understand, then she knocked me out with her telepathy
