"Is this supposed to happen?" I demanded as I defended myself and Kenzie from the onslaught of her collection of snow globes. Fire trickled at my fingertips as I used the element to stop the objects from harming us.

Kenzie didn't respond, instead her eyes glowed a vivid green color as she chanted some Latin spell. The contents in the KFC bucket seemed to be burning as a black smoke came tumbling out of the red and white striped cardboard bucket.

The whole room was unstable, and quaked beneath my feet. This was not a good room for a child of Hecate to make a spell. I don't care if this room has important spell books and symbols and ancient tree masks that look like they would be at home in a psychologists' office. One of the masks detached itself from the wall, flying in the air like there was no gravity and making its' way towards Kenzie and myself. Holding up my hand to vaporize the object with the fire flickering at my fingertips, but before it made contact with my hand, someone else blasted fire, preventing it smacking me in the face.

I quickly glanced over my shoulder to see Ryker behind me, flames licking up his arm, but they made no scratch. He had my powers. My eyes widened in the shock of it all as he came forward, placing his hand on my back and pushing me downwards, "Stay down." He commanded, and before I could tell him that I didn't take orders, he stood back up to stand with his younger sister. He stuck out his hands, having it hovering above the KFC bucket as Kenzie did, he muttered a few words and his eyes started to glow the same vibrant green as Kenzie.

I stood up in the chaos, "No one tells me what to do." I scowled as I grudgingly defended Ryker and Kenzie against the onslaught of the odd assortments of random household objects.

It wasn't until the bookshelf, which took up a side of an entire wall, became unstable and threatened to collapse ontop of me that everything stopped, and stood still as if everything were frozen in time.

I turned around to see Ryker and Kenzie, their eyes were back to normal and the KFC bucket wasn't filled with smoke as it was just a second ago. Everything was silent, like a movie which starts out with no sound. The confusion was the same as that, only it seemed more real.

"What's happening?" I cautiously asked, looking around.

Kenzie was the first to answer, her smile even brighter than before, "Nothing. You and everyone else are completely cloaked from the above sight of gods, unless you come face to face with one from bumping into them on the street, but I seriously doubt that that'll happen."

I narrowed my eyes at her, extinguishing the fire from my hands. I stood straighter as I marched up to Ryker and Kenzie.

"Thank you," I told Kenzie before glaring at Ryker.

Stepping forward towards him, I jabbed my finger at him, "You had no right to do that to me! You attacked us and left when we needed help the most! You might not like it either, but you got together with my mom which means that you're family and last I checked family wasn't supposed to cast us to the side or keep us prisoner and try to kill us! So next time you decide to leave or knock us out, there will be no more Get Out Of Jail Free cards."

Ryker stood there, his face expressionless while Kenzie let out a huge breath, "Well," She clapped her hands together to try and break up the tension, but before she could say anything else Ryker retaliated, "Why don't you tell us what you really think? You know, I don't think you get how much I'm giving up right now to help you guys. And don't even start comparing me to your uncle."

We glared at each other before Kenzie set her hands on both of our shoulders, "Look, I know you two have some serious issues or whatever, but right now we've got to get you guys on the move."
