"With our back to the wall, the darkness will fall

We never quite thought we could lose it all

Ready, aim, fire, ready, aim, fire

An empire's fall in just one day

Close your eyes and the glory fades

Ready, aim, fire, ready, aim, fire away

(fire)

Ready, aim, fire, ready, aim, fire away"- Imagine Dragons/Ready, Aim, Fire

The whole tower shook as the lightning flashed around outside. Dane ran over some ply wood that acted like a bridge, creaking as he ran.

"Dane, be careful!" Ry yelled after Dane. All the small boy did to acknowledge that he head what the older man had said was a short wave of his hand as he looked out the window, watching as the storm appeared when only minutes ago the skies were clear and blue.

I heard footsteps racing up the stairs, making their way towards us. I turned around to see Kai and Elena reaching the top of the bell tower with us. My brother glanced behind him as he stayed a few steps behind Elena. Kai's gaze met mine as they both stood next to Ryker near the entrance, "They're coming."

"Damn it." I cursed under my breath, if only my stupid brother listened to me! I was the responsible one, the smart one this time and what does he do? He ignored what I had said, insisting that we needed to get home.

I turned around, looking to the balcony that surrounded the bell tower where the gargoyles perched, keeping their watch. As the rain from outside started to pour down, a man materialized, stepping down from one of the surrounding gargoyles back, and down onto the baloney. Theron.

"Isn't this a pleasant sight?" My cousin grinned, showing off his white teeth like he was on some Colgate commercial. He spread his arms wide as if welcoming us into a hug, his golden eyes shone with humor as the rain fell around him as he approached, coming beneath the patchy roof of the bell tower.

Kai shoved me behind him as he walked up to our cousin, a fierce look in his eyes as he stepped up to Theron, just inches from each other, "Where is Erebus?"

"Dad's on his way. Just thought I'd check out what the cat dragged in. Apparently you brought our little canary. Man does she sing a sweet song." Theron looked past Kai, myself and Ryker. His gaze fixed on Elena who looked down at the ply wood beneath her feet.

I turned my head back to Theron and Kai, both glaring each other down.

"You know, Kai," Theron stated, shrugging as he put his hands in his pockets, "you really should choose more carefully about the women you sleep with. You never know when they'll stab you in-" Theron didn't even finish that sentence as my brother's fist came flying towards Theron's face, catching the god off guard. He stumbled back, touching the side of his face a small cut of golden blood appeared on his cheek bone.

Theron started laughing at my brother, shaking his head as he regained his balance, "You never could control that temper of yours. It always got you in trouble as a kid. I remember. Your father would always tell you-" Kai surged a few steps forward and swung his clenched fist in Theron's stomach. My cousin grunted in pain, but never lost his smile.

"He said that your anger makes you a fool. And the thing about Chaos is...he's always right." My cousin stood up again to Kai, who didn't miss a beat. He stepped forward colliding his fist with the side of Theron's jaw, making him stumble to the side. My brother grabbed Theron's arm, bringing our cousin closer so Kai could bring his leg up and knee Theron in the stomach. Theron grunted as he was tossed around like a punching back. Kai pushed him onto the unsteady ground, startling over him, as he rhythmically punched. Once his fist collided with Theron's flesh, my brother waited two beats, then repeated.
