The woman who had stepped out of the shadow cast hall was breath takingly beautiful. She reminded me of an Asian porcelain doll the way her creamy white skin contrasted with her dark hair. Her silver eyes held a cold mystery, almost reminding me of a snake and just as hypnotizing.

"I'm sorry Erebus couldn't make it, he is a little busy at the moment." She announced from the other side of the room, her bright eyes shimmering with zeal, "I wanted you all here today so that I may thank you for making my dream become a reality. Without any of you, I wouldn't be where I am today."

Theron stood by the woman, his shoulders were set back and his gaze set straight ahead of him as if he was in some sort of military mode, which was something new to me. He looked a lot different than his usual smug self.

"And what dream did we help you with?" Ryker demanded to my side. The dark haired woman's silvery eyes seemed to spark with the question. She walked over towards Ryker, her heels clicking along the marble floor. Dane tried to step back, but the gods behind him pushed him back into place, fear was written clearly across his features as his small fists shook.

The woman smiled as she stopped just inches away from Ryker, her gaze full of glee, "You helped me get back home, or the only place that ever felt like home, anyway."

Zal narrowed her eyes at the woman, "Sounds like this place has a lot of sentimental value to you, Nyx."

So this was Nyx. I don't remember seeing much of my aunt. I didn't picture her like this. I thought she would be dressed head to toe in a long black dress, like a newly widowed woman you see in the movies. She looked...the exact opposite. Especially in her white thigh length dress and golden heels.

Nyx looked over towards my sister, not leaving her place in front of Ryker, "Yes. It does, actually. Now before I send you away I figured I would keep up my end of the deal. Ronnie?" She turned her head to look towards her son, "Can you please bring the Queen out. I believe I promised a little someone a meeting."

Theron nodded his head, and walked out towards another hall on the opposite side of the room. Nyx smiled at Ryker, "I have to hand it to Talia, she does know how to pick them. I wonder how she will take it, knowing that you lied to her That'll be fun."

Ryker glared at the small Asian woman who stood inches ahead of him. Nyx just smiled at the action and walked over towards where Dane was, who started backing up against the gods behind him. They pushed him back in his place like they had done before. Nyx bent down, setting her hands on her knees, looking Dane in the eye, "Hello Dane," She smiled sweetly at the small boy, who tried backing away from her, "It's been a long time."

"Not long enough." The gutsy nine year old responded.

Nyx shrugged, standing up to her full height. She patted Dane on the head before walking over towards the silver throne in the center of the room. It looked nice against the white and black color scheme of the house, with trims of silver and gold here and there. I missed this place, and I hated that the woman who had taken it from me.

She sat down on the throne, looking quite at home as she crossed her legs and twirled her dark hair around her finger, "Well, while we are waiting for Ronnie and Talia to arrive...Elena? Would you please come over here?"

I looked over my shoulder to try and catch a glimpse of Elena. I don't want her here, I don't want her anywhere near Nyx. Especially when I am powerless and restrained by not only cuffs, but several gods ready to take me down. I am not able to protect her. But was I ever really able to do that?

Elena walked over towards Nyx, she must have been waiting behind us. There were no cuffs on her, there was no gods trying to restrain her nor was she forced up. She seemed willing. Her thigh length floral dress shifted around her as she walked, her black leather jacket had a few scratches on it, but other than that she seemed okay. I was relieved, but I had a sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach. They wouldn't be treating her like this if it wasn't for a reason.
