Bag 12-- Payback

"Her blood is still low and she's steady losing it" I heard a female voice say as I opened my eyes.

"Give her another blood transfusion" a doctor stated

"I think-- I think she's waking up"

I was in a lot of pain, my whole body felt like it's been through a lot. Everything was blurry, I saw a young white woman, with hello kitty scrubs on.

"Hey Janessa, are you feelin okay? I'm your nurse Britney." She asked in a baby voice.

"No, everything hurts" my voice was so scratchy and dull, I suprised my self.

"What am doing here?"

"Well you got attacked about a week ago" she nodded her head and look straight into my eyes.

"And you-- you were pregnant, you know that right?"

"Yeah I knew"

"Well I'm sorry to tell you this, but you suffered from a miscarriage. You got stabbed in the stomach four times."

I stayed speechless and lifted up my weak hand to rub my belly, and she was right no baby was in there.

"Why yall got this IV in me?"

"Well you had to get three blood transfusions,and your still bleeding. When your mother came to visit she said you have sickle cell, so your blood count was already low from the jump, but the miscarriage just made it worse, but where gonna get up"

"Where's my daughter?'

"Safe and sound with your mother"

Two detectives stood infront of me abd smiled
. I knew it was going to br questions about that night.

"Hi we just wanna ask some questions, do you remember what happen the night of your attack?"

"I got of the phone with a friend and as soon as I hung up, I felt this sharp pain in my stomach and I fell, and looked and saw feet and a crowd of people was just stomping me"

"Until you got unconscious huh?"

I nodded my head yes.

"Male or female?"

"Both"

"We pulled up your file"she grabbed a folder from the nurse.

"On September 27th 2006, you were raped by 11 men but only one was found and plead guilty, his name is Dalontè King. and you two have a daughter, who was born April 27th 2007 correct?"

"Correct, what does this have to do with this"

"Well he was release from jail, in early January 2015, have you seen him since then?"

"No"

"Well it also say here that three months ago, you filed an complaint on a Dalonte a last name was not recorded, cause you didn't know it. But officers wrote that he came to your home, beat you and raped you again. And....I'm guessing he got you pregnant again."

I didn't respond.

"Well is it a possibility he probably did this"

"He didn't do it"

(*** 3 days later***)

"Knock Knock bitch!" Naomi entered my room with KFC in her hand.

"Hey bitch! I missed you!"

"I missed you too" she sat the food next to me and leaned down and hugged me.
