Analise winced at the sudden light that had entered her cell. Asterodea had entered.

"Well, little Assassin, it seems your mentor has come for you."

Analise yanked at the chains connecting her to the wall. Already her wrists were scarred and bleeding. "You're dead, Sorceress," Analise snarled.

Asterodea merely laughed. "Oh, my dear, you have no idea how wrong you are."

~~~
The three women snuck through the city. "There's an entrance there," Ebony pointed.
Eliza turned back to the other two. "You all clear on the plan?"
They both nodded.
"Good. Let's go."
Eliza climbed to the top of the tent. For whatever reason, there was an opening there. Stealthily, she opened it and dropped down.
She let her focus drift away as she checked May and Ebony's progress. It seemed that they were successful, so she returned her focus to the tent.
Analise was chained to the wall. She couldn't see well, but she could distinctly smell blood. "Lisa!" she cried out, rushing to her.
Analise looked up. Her phosphorescent green eyes widened. "Eliza! It's a trap!"
The words registered too late. Hollene grabbed her from behind and held a knife to her throat. "Sister dearest, how kind of you to visit," she purred.
Eliza grinned in reply. "Hello, Holly."
Hollene's knife moved a little closer to her throat. "Stand, and watch your bridge burn. You've past the point of no return."
"You could say that.
"Now, perhaps you'd like to know why you're here." Glowing hot manacles were conjured around her wrists and ankles. Eliza cried out in pain and fell to the ground. The heat subsided, and now the cool metal felt like ice against the burns.
Analise watched in horror. In the short time Analise had come to know her, Eliza had become a somewhat invincible figure. Seeing her bound by chains of fire was almost as bad as feeling the burns herself.
Hollene moved closer to Analise. "Lizzie, dear, I am willing to let your dear Apprentice go— in exchange for your life." Analise's own manacles burned for a second before subsiding— long enough to get Analise to let out a small cry of pain. "Alternatively, I'll let you go, but the girl dies. Either way you choose, someone dies."
Analise struggled against her chains, only to be subdued by the returning heat. "Eliza. . . Go. I'll be the one to die."
Eliza was shaking her head before Analise had even finished. "No. You go. I'll stay and die. You should be the one to live."
"I don't care what you choose. Either way, Eliza dies," Hollene interjected.
Both Eliza and Analise glared at her. "Do you mind? I'm trying to decide."
"Eliza, go," Analise insisted.
"I won't leave you here."
Eliza didn't get any more time to think, as at that moment May burst into the tent. Eliza couldn't help but mentally remark on how hardcore May looked in that moment. She definitely looked like she was prepared to take a couple Sorcerers down.
Analise sagged against the wall and closed her eyes in relief. No one had to die.
May brandished her staff in an offensive position. "Hello, Asterodea. It's a pleasure seeing you."
Asterodea laughed cruelly, turning her attention from Analise and Eliza. "The same goes for you, Miss Wintergreen."
Eliza looked down at the chains binding her wrists. Searching them, she noticed that they had a faint aura, meaning no normal weapon or tool would pierce them.
Eliza heard the metallic slither of falling chains and looked up and noticed that Analise had somehow freed herself.
"What. . ."
Analise wasted no time. Using the chain as a weapon, she swung it at Hollene. The chain hit her back, knocking her down. May grabbed Analise's wrist and pulled her out. A second later Ebony returned and freed Eliza of the chains.
"Thanks."
"Do you know how Analise-"
"No, I don't. And I don't think she'll appreciate questions. Now, we should probably go."
Hi, I'm back.
I know, not the best. I haven't written in a while and I'm trying to get back into it. If that means crappy chapters, then so be it. I can always go back later.
Again, chapters twelve through fourteen were originally going to be one chapter, but ya know.
I didn't write at all in November.
Peace people!
Byesa.
